POLL: Political Forum or a General O/T Forum

Sorry for confusion. Narrowed down a bit. We'll decide where it goes later, IMO. Your comments are welcome.

General O/T is good enough IMO. Again, not sure it even needed its own forum, but if that's how you guys want it, so be it!

Thanks for the revision. General OT obviously gets my vote.

Why can't we have both with all that's going on in the world now?

The idea of having other Forums has been passed around a bit, though it would more likely be a Huskies/Cougs forum. Given this would turn into "why not a general college football forum". Then it becomes "what about the M's, what about the Sounders, hell...the Sonics!" I think it's great that folks are discussing politics, especially during a time of heated debate. That's what the OT section is there for. Though if we expand things too far, it takes away from what this site is all about...a collective love for our Seattle Seahawks.

If enough people want other forum's, I can easily add them. But we'd have to start with college football first, just to stick to the theme. I love this place as much as anyone else and definitely want to keep everyone happy. ;)

I'm open to any thoughts.

You know, the way yoder and mak approach managing this forum is fantastic, and one of the reasons why I think of it as my virtual home. They don't run it like a dictatorship, more like a partnership. They stay out of the fray, seldom express an opinion and maintain their objectivity, yet they're huge Seahawk fans.

It seems that lately we have an uptick in usage. Aseahawkfan, Irish Greg, and Idahawkman are all excellent posters from the old PI days that bring with them really good, informative contributions to the forum. If we start getting a lot of traffic in the Seahawk forum, which is really a football forum not particular to any team, then I'd vote to start another forum. But as it stands now, I don't think that the amount of traffic justifies splitting those forums that we currently have. Just my humble opinion.

Because this is a Seahawks site, not a general interest site- as such there is Seahawks stuff, and off-topic stuff.

I don't see any need to start divvying up each subject into its own forum. IMHO.

Agreed. If it's not Seahawks related it's fine in the OT forum.
