R.I.P. Meadowlark Lemon

A bittersweet moment learning of the passing of one of the most underestimated basketball players of all times. It's always sad to hear of anyone passing, but with Meadowlark Lemon, he lived a long and fruitful life.

I can remember my dad taking me to watch the Harlem Globetrotters back in the early 60's and watching him make hook shots from half court. He made 3 in a row before he missed, and that was in a strange gym that he'd never played in before. He was a fantastic comedian and undoubtedly would have been a HOF player (actually he's in the HOF) had he chased to play for a traditional NBA team.

RIP. Awesome entertainer.Great basketball player. I always wondered why he didn't go to the league, probably having too much fun.
