That's one medal the liberals have not tarnished yet. Great story. Another amazing Medal of Honor story. They have an archive of Medal of Honor stories. Each one is an amazing show of courage and sacrifice.

In todays world, there is no lack of real heroes to look up to. We've been at war for the entire youth of one generation. Next year, the high school class that was born the year of 9-11 will be graduating. Whether a person agrees with the politics behind our wars or not, these wars will define a generation. Corporal Carpenter is one of those heroes.

Living CMH winners are very rare indeed. Usually the CMH is awarded posthumously.
