If Hillary Had Won The Election....

...this story would be making front page headlines and have Congress in an uproar:

Like I've said on many occasions, this woman is a snake. Scandals follow her around like a lost puppy.

You meant "If Hillary were a Republican..."

Otherwise, it'd get this treatment (this example chosen nearly at random):

Let's be real, you can't trust the press any longer. They have chosen sides. They will protect or try to ameliorate negative news on their favored political candidates and attack or smear the opposing candidate. For all Trump's "fake News" talk, the news is not so much fake as heavily biased and slanted to push an agenda. You can't much trust the press to provide objective news.

Given the way Americans think, it's not very hard to do. The Clintons including Hilary have been receiving help from foreign governments to win elections for years, yet Trump does the same and they're trying to brand him a traitor. Those against him are licking it up like ice cream even though this exact behavior has been a part of nearly every election practically since the beginning. These same supporters of Bill Clinton didn't give a flying damn when it was Clinton getting donations and likely other support from places like China and Russia back in the 90s and likely this election.

The press in America is compromised by both political parties and powerful supporters of both sides. American citizens don't care because they view politics as a sporting event where they root for the team most likely to give them some kind of benefit than trying to uphold the political agreement we have in this nation.

I haven't trusted the press in years. I'm surprised many do any more. That's why you don't worry about the new or the fake sincerity of politicians. You worry about the results from the White House usually measured by economic results and protection of liberties. The rest of it needs to be left up to the individuals in the nation.
