Oh how many times did I want to choke Bevel for not going with just straight runs. We got out healthy, that's what is huge as the win!

I would b**** about the high throws that plagued RW today and throughout the season and that pete should have kicked a damn FG earlier in the game instead of going for it and failing.

Yep - The way Bennett was on the ground and grabbing his leg after that one play in the 4th quarter - I was thinking he was done not for the game but for the entire post season....

Really? High throws throughout the season? Today he missed high a lot, freezing weather and slick ball explains that today.

When I saw their kicker had the sun in his eyes I had hoped it would affect the kick, then the holder didn't spin the laces out and what do you know, wide left!

Y'all go on ahead and b!tch about what ever you'd care to, for myself I'd put this game immediately in the rear-view. Not even watch tape on it. It was an outlier in every way a game can be and whether we had any business doing so or not we survived.

All about next week starting right now.

I feel bad for Blair Walsh, but not as happy as I am for us.

I think the Sherman near block may have impacted Walsh too.

Sherman's hand, gloves on holder, 150 below zero, and wind in face.

Your right, it's about next week, thought there was still something to b**** about, you didn't have to. See above comment. I guess we should all just not post anything but praise.

I think Pete said it best: this was a survival game. It was going to be ugly because of the temp.

If that's what you took from my post you were looking for something to be insulted about.

My point is that there is just too much in a game like this to be unhappy with and too little to be learned from any of it because the conditions that made the game such a clunker are so very rare, so it makes no sense to dwell on it.

Nothing at all to do with positivism vs negativism or any of that crap.

My bad, I wasn't insulted. I was really just ribbing you about the original comment you made. I guess a winking emoticon would have possibly helped here. I was actually in agreeance with you on the moving on, just that there was something to be concerned about, that was an original disagreeing post by someone, I forget who without looking.

I know what u meant, Bob. RW will be able to feel his face and Sherman's contact lenses wind freeze to his eyes during the game in Carolina. No excuses; it'll just be very different.

Just crazy what has happened the last 3 playoff games for the 'Hawks, in terms of the highs and lows and shocking things that have happened.

It was a unique game today, someone mentioned throwing out the tape. I agree, it was such harsh conditions that effected every phase of the game.

I know our O looked bad, but so did theirs for the most part. Credit both D's in adverse conditions, both showed up and played big games.

RW3 made a few unreal plays that made a huge difference, and Hauschka nailed a big FG. And of course a missed chipshot, nothing automatic in this league.

Big questions for next week......will BeastMode be back, and will Willson be back?

Ultimately the ONLY thing that matters in the playoffs is wins. Period. It's over and done with. How you win, doesn't matter in the least.

This game looked like how we played in September. The Offense struggled and the Defense made some untimely mistakes.
Most of that is from the weather and I think it would have been a completely different game if it had been played indoors or in a warmer climate. No matter what the players say, cold affects productivity, and we saw that today.

Pope I hope you are on Deck?[/quote]

Well thank you Savvy for your confidence in my ability to persuade the big guy to give the Hawks a hand. As I stated earlier in the thread the Hawks were going to need to do this on their own. I'm saving any divine intervention requests for a later date. After the NFC championship game last year I had more sores on my knees than a $2 hooker. Saving my knees for a later date, when more is at stake. I know it's one and done at this point, but the Hawks got to make it past the first round before I make any official requests. I don't know if the boss had anything to do with the result or not, but if some want to credit divine intervention on this, one feel free.

The Pope has left the building.

Russell Wilson became the first in NFL in many all time categories and became the first Hawk ever to lead the league in passer rating this season. He completed about 70% of his passes and shattered every team single season passing record. I dont remember all the high throws guys. Id love to see some of the spoiled rotten Hawks fans go try to play a football game in wind chills 20 below. Try throwing a frozen rock with your frozen hands and figure out how its going to fly. If it wasn't for some of the incredible things Wilson did in the game such as the scoop save shortstop play it would have been 9 to 0.

Not too much to b**** about.....
