I will participate in pick-em and survival leagues as well, and I will most likely win both. ;)

That would be appreciated!

I usually join a FF league out at my place of work. I don't like participating in multiple leagues as it's too difficult for me to keep track of all of my players on Game Day. I guess old men can't multi task.

I'd love to do it. See my earlier post regarding payouts. I'd prefer the $100 league. It spreads the money around more evenly.

Hiya Mak... WAY back when we were still at the PI, we started a forum FFL and have tried to maintain it over the years. The last few have been a challenge and last year's was just difficult. 1/2 PI members and 1/2 random people. It lacked the familiarity I was hoping for with my foes. I'm down for whatever format - from free to $100.

Sorry to disappoint sis, I set up that league and waited till the last minute of the draft for more people from here to join....In the end I just had to fill the league. I did my best, sorry it wasn't up to standards. Hopefully this year will be better.

The league is up!
Here is the link:

https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/929915/invitation?key=b92874d6b62f6c06&ikey=8be9eac8c81f660a

payout rules to follow.
Here is a preliminary look:

$100 buy in per manager.
Prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Most points pot at end of regular season
$20 weekly payout for most points scored in one week.
$2 pickup and trade fee. This will feed the pot for total points and weekly payout.
There is no need to pay up until the season is over.

More details to come!

Will not let you join if you have a WA ip address. Look forward to seeing you guys in the league. Thanks for setting it up Mak. This should be way better than the free league I throwed together last year.

Thanks, Mak. I'll check it out this weekend. I'm in the process of forming my draft list (just had to scratch someone named Elliott).

I've created the league with 14 spots but I didn't think they would all be taken. I can change it anytime.
Below are the payout guidelines for a 10 and 12 team league:

Fees:
$100 buy in
$2 per move

Payout:
$20 weekly most points
user with the most points at the end of week 13 gets all of the moves money

If we have 12 teams:
1st - $500
2nd - $300
3rd - $140

If we have 10 teams:
1st - $400
2nd - $220
3rd - $120

Live Draft: Mon Sep 4 8:00pm PDT
As of now, no one has signed up. If no one wants to do it, i'll disband the league.

I would join Mak, but I don't like the payout format. Namely, the $2 per move. What a pain to keep track of & execute payments. Also, I like the weekly high points, but would join up if there was a payout for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd regular season. A 3 week playoff on weeks 14, 15, & 16 would be good too. I vote for the $100 league with these changes.

Or a $100 buy in with
$25 high points weekly, (13 weeks)
Reg Season
$175 1st
$75 2nd
$25 3rd

Playoffs
$200 1st
$100 2nd
$50 3rd
$25 4th
$15 5th
$10 6th

This is the format I proposed earlier in the thread.

You make some good points.
But let me clarify...

Yahoo tracks your move count.
Be it trades or just picking up a player off the wire.
This allows for me to count the number of moves a manager does throughout the season.
No money will be dolled out during the season and no money is required up front.
All will be paid out and collected at the end of the season.

Regarding the $20 weekly payout, the manager who gets the highest points for the week will win $20 of virtual move credit.
For example: if manager A has 12 moves/trades by week 10 and got high points twice, manager A has spent $24 on moves but has won $40 and has a credit of $16 for future moves. Manager A can also elect to minimize the moves/trades and the $16 will be added to manager A's total winnings.

No manager has to keep track as I will be tracking everything.

However, if no one signs up, this is a moot conversations. LOL

Yea, I have a problem with multi tasking, too. If the wife sends me to the store to get a loaf of bread, I'm probably OK. If she tells me to get two loaves, I need a list.
