Eagles

Postby RiverDog » Fri Oct 13, 2017 5:23 am

They destroyed the Cards last Sunday and beat a good Panthers team on the road last night. Wentz is maturing into one of if not the best young quarterback in the league.

And we get them at home in November.

Cam seemed way off on his throws last night. Eagles do look sharp however. Have to get by the Giants first, everyone saying an easy win but its east coast 10AM and they will be hungry after losing to Denver. Could be ugly and gut wrenching.

Eagles look like a real contender. Defense looks good.

It'll be Wentz's first trip to Clink and should be a good game. I was rooting for the Eagles since we play against them head to head and we don't play the Panthers. Gives us a shot at going up on them in the tie breakers.

That’s a good point, ID. It also gives us a chance to feel them out before the playoffs start - assuming we make it.

Fletcher Cox is a beast on their DL so our OL is going to have a challenge (and to think we could have drafted him instead of Irvin).
Their Offense is pretty good and they are great on 3rd downs while we seem to struggle with 3rd and long for some reason.
They've played 4 of 6 games on the road and their record is 4-1, so we will have our hands full.
Any yet again, it will depend on whether our OL has improved enough to get the Offense moving.
Let's hope so.

It's a little early to start looking at playoff scenarios. I generally don't start worrying about that stuff until Thanksgiving.

10-4 on Wentz's first trip to Seattle. That's 3 rookie QB's that will be making their first trip to the Clink in the games to come, with Watson and Goff being the other two.

and they make it... Lot of season left and a key injury can foil any team's hope of playoffs let alone SB... :o

You know me Riv... Never too early to look at what it takes.

Remember, I'm the one who predicts 19-0 every year and am crushed when the first loss hits us.

Hey ID, Wentz played here last year in the trip Philly made out in November. Same game where Baldwin threw a TD pass to Wilson. 'Hawks won 26-15.

Wentz went 23 of 45 for 218 yards...2 TD's...2 INT's.....

So his 2nd trip here, not that that is huge experience, but it has to help him a bit. He looks really good so far this year.

They also have a running game this year. They are definitely contenders.

I totally forgot about that, plus neither he or Goff are rookies. Thanks for the correction, 86.

Yup. Defense looks pretty fair, too. I haven't seen a lot of the Falcons this season, but they're definitely one of the top teams in the NFC.

I forgot about it also. Somehow I thought it was Dallas that won that division the year before and that we had won ours but I was wrong on that.
