Asea, that's the equivalent of standing up in a debate and ranting for an hour.

Break your thoughts up into digestible bites so people can take it in. Nobody's going to read that in a setting like this.

ASEA; How can you write something so cogent and intelligent and then start spouting off about how great Trump is??? How do YOU not realize that Trump has nothing but utter CONTEMPT for anyone who is not either uber wealthy and/or uber powerful or in the case of women uber pretty. Trump also has a lifetime record of discriminating against people of color and the ONLY reason his like Omerosa is because he finds her pleasing to the eye and she of course would not hesitate to get on her knees to put a smile on his face.

So, explain how someone like Trump who is thumbing his nose at the very laws he has sworn an oath to execute??? He now has the most corrupt Admin. in history and considering some of the admins. of the past that is saying something. How can you (and Burrton, and IDH.) ignore all of his cabinet members flying around in government jets and a few even hiring a team of security personel as if they are as important as the POTUS??? Or, do you just buy into the LIES that all of these reports are nothing but "fake news"??????

To be for Trump is to be a TRAITOR mother-fucker there IS no middle ground. This IS going to be a FIGHT for what until Trump took office a GREAT Nation. MAGA??? Think about asshiole, the whole premise of MAGA is that America was once great but isn't anymore. That premise right there should have been a red flag that Trump was full of s***. Yet, people like ate that crap up, didn't you??

I am willing to bet if Donald Trump took a dump and told you eat it you (and Burrton, and IDH) would not only eat it you would lick his anus for dessert.

Wow, are you misinformed. Show me where Trump has "utter contempt" for the common person in the u.s. Don't show inference, show direct correlation and facts. Also, I can't believe you just did to Omarosa what you are so upset about with Trump's comment. Did you feel good when you slurred her name? When you debased her character? Did you feel commanding? (As my dad used to say, "you need to take a cold hard look in the mirror at yourself.)

What laws is he thumbing his nose at? Do you have specifics or just throwing out a slur again? What has his admin done that is corrupt? You do know he fired the guy flying in jets, right?

You need to back away from the ledge there. I'm now a traitor? Based on what? exercising my "constitutional rights" to free speech and backing the president? He was duly elected and put into office and has committed no crimes to be removed. Some of us think the country was declining and not GREAT but that it is on the way back to being that way now.

and you think we are not sane. Who would even think of a statement like you just made.

Buh bye.

I don't think Trump is great. What are you talking about? I just don't think he's anymore corrupt or bad than most politicians. The biggest difference between Trump and other politicians is his lack of decorum and petty bickering. As far as digging in closets, I doubt many politicians are very clean at all.

Trump's a narcissistic, petty, egotistical loudmouth that likes to mix it up to get "ratings" in his mind. He's letting the Congress and his aides do the heavy lifting to fulfill his campaign promises, while he plays golf and shoots off Twitter rants. He's not very presidential, at least not what we're accustomed to. I hope he doesn't make it to a second term. I didn't vote for him. I won't in the next election.

Do I think he's going to destroy the nation? No. Do I think he's much worse than any other politician we've had? No, I do not. I've watched so much corrupt behavior in Washington that I'm not easily swayed or shocked. Some people feel better when their corruption is served up by a well-spoken politician that makes everything sound good. I don't care how it gets served up, I don't like it. I can't think of a single candidate in my lifetime that didn't do many things I didn't agree with while in office. Even Obama who was a well-spoken man forced Obama-care on me, kept the war in Iraq and Afghanistan going until the agreed upon end date in 2012 while receiving a Nobel Peace prize he didn't deserve, and signed off on more drone killings than any president in history, while keeping the Patriot Act very active. He made everything sound real nice, so people think well of him. They feel like he cared, and maybe he personally did. But Washington doesn't allow for much of that. It's a big fight over a huge tax pie and competing agendas over how the nation should be run. Fact is that America will not be a truly free nation ever again. We have too many commitments abroad, too much money at stake, and too many people to manage that don't want to be free if it means a harder life.

If it makes you sleep better at night to vote for a guy you think is less corrupt and more sane, then have at it. You'll get your chance soon enough. I doubt you'll see Trump get impeached. If you want him really gone, better take your time getting the vote out against him. That's going to work better than bitching on the Internet.

I could have written more. Fact is the economic situation is incredibly complex with lots of history behind it. Even the rise in socialist thinking is similar to the rise in Communist/Socialist thinking back when The Great Depression occurred. Until the economy gets back on track, people are going to listen to the likes of Bernie Sanders and keep bringing up Europe because they know next to nothing about how much Europe has moved away from socialism that caused them to stagnate in the early 20th century. They keep selling Europe as socialist when Europe is capitalist with more social services than America.

No one ever discusses how Europeans actually live in terms of real wealth, property, taxes, and their middle class. We hear "free" medicine and education and think it must be better, when that is not necessarily the case.

The Internet is not a great place to discuss serious economic and historical matters. Generally, it takes quite a bit of reading and education to get a grasp on how these things work. Unfortunately most of America doesn't want to do the research. They want the information delivered to them in short articles, TV specials, and sound bites rather than a truly complex study of variables that affect a nation as large as ours. That's why the politicians run elections the way they do, then govern in an entirely different way.

That's the problem. Distill your thoughts, then convey them as succinctly as possible.

Writing 101, but critical for online interactions. This isn't a blog.

We hear "free" medicine and education and think it must be better, when that is not necessarily the case.

I agree with Burrton. I read most of your postings as I think you're an intelligent guy with a rational POV and I like our exchanges, but I didn't read that long rant of yours.

I reread it. The end part went off the rails a little.

And you know Americans will cry like crazy if anyone tells them what to do, even when it makes logical sense. In a socialized program paid for by the government, it makes sense to limit high risk patients that are throwing their lives away anyway. Insurance companies normally account for this in private medicine with higher rates. But people cry about higher rates when they are engaging in high risk behaviors. The reality is that smoking and overeating cause serious health problems. If they want to do it, they should pay a price for it.

I didn't mean it as harsh criticism, but we're amateurs here- expecting us to plow through a thousand-word essay to find a handful of salient points isn't realistic in a forum like this.

Good on you for being sensitive to constructive criticism. Too bad S4E can't do the same.

This is exactly what Rump wants. To further divide the country and get reactions to his well thought out trolling of America.

It is time to look forward and gather information on every candidate that is up for re-election, and compare them with all the new candidates that will be entering their hats into the arena.

It is time for America to NOT FEED THE TROLL, it is time for America to R E M O V E the troll and ALL of his ridiculous minions.
