Big leg but like Walsh has had trouble in big situations.

We'll probably draft one, too, and have some true competition during training camp and the preseason.

I'm a little surprised at how there hasn't been much discussion about how Pete set up Walsh for failure by not trying to advance the ball another 5-10 yards and give Walsh a little easier shot. If I recall, we decided to go for it on a 4th and 6 from about the same distance earlier in the game. Did Pete ever come out and explain that decision?

So, are they blaming their own stupidity for hiring Walsh since this guy is their first signing?

If you want to look at stupidity, look over your shoulders P & J and take a look at your coaches who ARE STILL THERE !!!

This guy could be some competition but they also need camp legs as well, since Walsh is still here as well as some others it is nothing to get to excited about, talk to me the last week of August.

Walsh is a FA after this year and not signed to a 2018 contract as of today.

I think they did not advance the ball because they wanted to see if Walsh could win a game with a long field goal. PC and Bevell probably glanced at the Falcon score and said here ya go man, prove it and Walsh failed. If Carolina would have had the lead we may have seen some more aggressive O play-calls to get closer knowing the kicker they had. But I may be wrong and it was just Bevell playing stinkpot football as always.

Walsh is history, no way we'll offer him another contract.

Not only will we not offer him a contract, no one else will, either.
