You go back to the formula that was more successful?

Really disgusting people, all of you who are drooling over a DIRTY player like Suh, Who's next? Richie Incognito? OH BOY he could really bolster our O-Line, you gonna start drooling over the prospect of having Incognito on our team??
You know, SPORTSMANSHIP does matter, and HOW you WIN and WHO you WIN with MATTERS MORE than Winning at all costs including your MORALS.
But that's it isn't it, many have decided that winning at all costs is the ONLY THING.
The joke is on YOU PEOPLE, our Seahawks will NEVER AGAIN win the Super Bowl as long as Pete Carroll is the Head Coach. You heard it here FIRST people.
It is not that I want Pete to fail, its just that I KNOW that he WILL FAIL. He cannot get out of his own way, and besides, he is intellectually dishonest with both the fans and the press. He is snobbishly hypocritical and tends to carry a grudge. Pete got rid of Sherm because Sherm starte3d the push to get Bevell fired and Pete decide3d that if he had to fire Bevell them Sherman had to go to or he would lose respect in the locker room.
What Pete don't know or refuses to understand is that he has LOST the LOCKER ROOM already. Case in point, ET RUNNING not walking over to the Dallas Cowboy's locker room to tell their HC to "come and get him". When a player the STAURE of Earl Thomas wants OFF the team that drafted him and that he played in 2 Super Bowls with WANT OUT there are REAL PROBLEMS in the locker room.
What about this situation do MANY of you NOT UNDERSTAND????????
Pete WILL FAIL, that is a given.

He USED to be, those years are in the past, if Seattle was looking for more pass rush, they just traded him, and he was cheaper.
Seattle doesn't need sacks from their D tackles, never, ever have to get to the Quarterback, at least while they were most successful. That's a new desire, not a necessity. Anyone claiming they do, missed the 6 years of dominance that defense had entirely.... during that stretch, Mebane was the most dominant D tackle they had, no Richardson, certainly no Suh was needed during that stretch, and it isn't needed now. Understand the swing and miss at Richardson, it's clear they felt the window was pretty much closed... but to put yourself back in the same position, during a rebuild, no matey how minor, is crazy.
4 or 5 sacks from a D tackle for 15m a year, isn't a bargain. Sorry, I'll stick with my opinion that high priced d tackles aren't a necessity.

Suh is still dominant. He still gets doubled on a regular basis yet was one of the top 5 most disrupting DTs last year and the #1 DT at making plays behind the LOS (TFL + sacks). When our D was dominant we were getting constant pressure on QBs. We were able to do that with ‘nascar’ packages when our D was truly dominant, but have failed to constantly get pressure in the past 2 years. If you aren’t going to have All-Pro guys in the secondary you must have a pass rush. To stop The running game you have to get DTs that either eat up blockers or require Double teams Suh does that
That would be crazy. They have the cap room. There is no real reason that it won't work. The Rams are going all in for the SB and this signing would be pretty crazy. Here's to hoping it doesn't happen, but if it does that is bad news for the Hawks.

I'll give you a hint... it rhymes with duper extensive apprehensive spakle... BENNETT was D tackle, CHEAP pass rush specialist, Irvin and Avril.... I must have missed the Suh, Richardson, Donald in that lineup... or maybe the CHEAP DT alternatives actually worked, just like I said....
Next time, save time, just type "you're right" way faster.

Sure there is, Suh is, and has always been an undisciplined player that forego's responsibilities based on hunches, Donald is an explosive player that remains disciplined, that's what makes him 10x the player Suh has, or will ever be.
Getting those things ironed out take time, especially, if a player isn't used to playing second fiddle, and if they are even WILLING to adjust.
HumanCockroach wrote:Think you're mistaking my cheap pass rush specialist DT with Bennett and Avril there. ( and at the time they were indeed "cheap regardless) ... regardless, there is pass rush DT, run stop DTs throughout the NFL, they idea you need a "dominant, pass rush, and run stuff DT" is a NEW idea, and one that has not paid dividends to any team that has invested in that position, with the exception of the Rams last season, and last season alone.
How many rings Richardson, Suh, and Donald got between them? Zero is it? How many top flight defenses they been a part of, a couple? Nah, 15m for an overpriced DT is not a recipe for success, and really never has been. They have always, and will always be a piece of the puzzle, but far lower in importance to ends, linebackers and DBs. It simply isn't an area teams looking to improve should put a serious emojis on.
HumanCockroach wrote:Reggie played end, Tez as much as I love him won how many championships in Seattle again? Sapp was indeed dominant, but again, even Tampa said goodbye when his dominance faded. You're advocating signing a player PAST his prime, to big money, that has always been undisciplined, with zero team success, and on field mental issues.
Seattle's success has always come from ACTIVE interior lineman, not DOMINANT interior lineman, and I don't see any reason to break the bank to get something that can be replicated for 1/4 of the cost. Having a name and performing aren't the same thing. I want wins not headlines.
All you Hawk fans who seemed to have lost your morals and want to win at "any cost" have another chance at Suh because the Jets realized their mistake and have withdrawn their offer.
I supposed the same people who are drooling for Suh would also give their left nut for that other dirty player O-Lineman Richie Incognito too??
The Hawks under Pete will NOT be worth rooting for until he is GONE.
