ET to the Ravens

Postby Stream Hawk » Wed Mar 13, 2019 9:26 am

Just reported. 32 mil guaranteed! Good luck I suppose. He sure was amazing here, until $$ and injuries messed him up.

4 years $55 million, so up to $13.75 million/year, but $8 million/year guaranteed.
Good for him.

Good contract for ET. Good for us that he is going to the AFC!!! Best of luck to him over there, hope to see him in the SB soon.

You have to wonder how this compares to the best contract we would have given him if he would have handled things differently.

In all fairness, it's pretty easy to see the mistakes Earl made in his dealings with our FO, in particular his holdout, but we don't know what kinds of mistakes, if any, were made by Pete and John.

Do the Hawks get any compensation for him or was he a FA?

If we don't pick up many or any FA's of note ourselves, we should get a 3rd round comp pick.

I'm just glad the team is rid of him after his comments today about thanking Seattle but not the Seahawks. That's just a load of crap!

I'm just glad he's 3000 miles away, in the AFC and not playing for the 49'ers, where Sherman was recruiting him to go.

Interesting article at NFL.com today discussing the fact that ET was ready to sign a 1-year ‘prove it’ deal and then the Ravens came out of nowhere to offer him his mega-deal.

I'm not sure how many of you guys realize this, but we play the Ravens at home this year, and since we host AFC teams just once every 8 seasons, it could represent the last time we see Earl at the Clink.

Not me as it's not my style. There's worse things in life than getting flipped off.
