Arizona lost Daryll Washington today for the season, and while certainly not a death blow for that defense, that inability to sign Danby, then losing Washington, along with some "suspect" safety play, could pose more problems for that defense than is readily noticeable on the surface.

Bummer for Washington. I don't like to see any player get injured, regardless if it helps our chances or not. Besides, there's a certain sense of pleasure in beating a team at full strength that's not there when they have an excuse such as injured players.

Arians seems to be a lot like Pete in that his defenses are organic in that they can heal themselves. Arizona is not going to be a pushover. Damn, this division is tough. We could easily go from first place to last place in this division if the ball doesn't bounce our way.

Um, RD,it was for a third offense with drugs not an injury..... IMHO there would have to be a LOT of bad bounces to land Seattle in the cellar. I could see them perhaps finishing second, but last? Just don't see that as a real possibility,

I don't think it's coincidence that NFLPA is all of a sudden digging their feet in on playoff expansion at the same time we are seeing players lose 4-8 games and entire seasons over pot smoking. The country does not give a crap about pot smoking, pro baseball does not test, pro basketball does not test for it, pro hockey does not test for it. Yet pro football is stripping a player of an entire season because they smoked pot? Even if the did continue to test for it the proportionality of the offense to the penalty is entirely out of line. You can forcibly attack another player in game and only lose a game. A coach actively cheated for multiple seasons and lost no games, only cash. So far it is on par with being the ring leaders of an organized pay for injury scheme. Pure craziness.

I agree with HC, the loss of Washington and Dansby combined is far greater than the loss of either one alone.

Interesting take. The League give up testing for pot and in return get expanded playoffs.
It might be something to keep an eye out for when it all unfolds.
Might HGH testing also be in the mix in some form?
