Hopefully it's just a precaution. He looked pretty good against the Broncos and should be able to contribute this season. We're going to need someone to fill the void left by the exits of Bryant, Clemons, and McDonald, and I was hoping that Marsh would be one of those guys.

Any updates? I LIKE Marsh a lot, but there is still players available to fill that roll should he miss time. Not overely concerned about depth in that regard. I like Schofield and Scruggs a lot as well, we'll just have to see.

According to an Ian Rappaport source, it's a slight sprain.

We'll have to wait see what the official word is...

Corroboration for your update, nlbm. While I agree our depth is good, I'd like to see this guy get plenty of work in the preseason, even if he doesn't see much of the field in the regular season.

why wouldn't he see the field this year? If he's good... he'll play and he'll be in the rotation that the D uses. He was drafted by Pete and JS, who expect them ALL to play.

More of a worst-case scenario. While they expect guys to play, they also don't mind "redshirting" them, either. I suspect, though, that if he keeps up what he did against Denver, he'll make the 53-man roster and gets his share of PT.

I hope that him being back on the field today for practice is a good sign. Red shirts are nice, but that indicated they had a serious injury that year and with Clem, McD and Red gone, I think we are going to need him this year.

Oh, I'm not overly concerned, either. The defense seems to have an organic nature to it as it seems to heal itself. Someone will rise to the occasion.

I agree with JS. I think the plan was for Marsh to get significant playing time in the DL rotation this season as we lost some significant contributors, and Marsh certainly hasn't done anything in camp to dissuade that thinking.

Believe me I want Marsh on the field ( he was my favorite pick of the entire Seahawks draft) was just saying I like their depth, a LOT on that line, which when you think about it is pretty impressive considering the loss of guys like Clem and Red, and where they were two years ago. Pretty impressive what they have assembled so quickly. :)
