Personally I think they are leaning towards keeping 3 QBs including both TJack and Pryor this season.

I hope not that roster spot is better used someplace else, and since TP will not resign its a waste.

"I didn't even know I was going in," Pryor said. "I was just sitting on the bench. That's my fault and I have to own up to that. I threw a pick, even though I didn't know I was going in. It is what it is."

Pryor has a 29.9 passer rating for the preseason, ranking 111th out of the 114 quarterbacks who have taken a snap.

Not a "good" thing IMHO, very Billy Joe Hobertesque.

Okay let me get this straight, your are an NFL player fighting for a position on the team and you were not ready to go in, and then while "you own up to it" in one breath you make an excuses "I threw a pick, even though I didn't know I was going in. It is what it is."

God I hope he is gone soon.

1. I don't think Pryor will ever be as good as TJack.
2. Even if he became equally good as TJack I don't think he would re-sign for the small amount we are paying Tjack.

So keeping him would:
1. Take away a roster spot from someone who might actually contribute
2. Use up coaches' time on a player who probably wont be with us next year.

At least Daniels can go to the ps and be there if we need him.

The Hawks felt a 7th was worth a look at Pryor and I can understand why they would want to check him out, but I just don't see him working out as a Hawk.

I'm glad to see someone else remembers Hobart. My boss's daughter had a class at UW with Hobart, and commented on what a stupid jock the guy was. For those of you that don't get the association HC made with Hobart and what was reported about Pryor, the deal is that when Hobart was a backup quarterback for the Saints, the starter went out with an injury and when Hobart was called upon to substitute, he informed the head coach that he hadn't read the playbook.

I do not think Irvin will be going anywhere. They love this dude. I heard Ken Norton talk about Bruce and said if you were picking a school yard team he would be the first pick. I think Irvin will end up being one of those players that just gets better year to year.

I will add Jordan Hill - Last year 3rd round pick - as a Surprise Cut.

I don't agree, I never agreed, but if I am wrong and you are right I will be the happiest. I would have cut him and moved on, because you are going to have do it later anyway.

That would be a surprise.
It is a very competitive position, though so someone along the DL might go that we don't expect.
