Three Hawk HOF'ers

Postby RiverDog » Fri Sep 05, 2014 5:06 am

The first time I've ever seen all three of our HOF'ers together, and a great way to start the regular season by having them hoist the 12th man flag, almost brought tears to my eyes. Man, Largent looks good. Hard to believe that he turns 60 in a couple of weeks.

My only thought was that we should have saved them for a really big game.

I'm starting to think Largent sold his soul. I have seen 35 year olds who look older than him.

Yea, me, too. I always thought Robert Redford looked young for his age in some of the movies he played in, but he no doubt benefited from a pretty good make-up artists. Largent looked young enough to still be playing.

I thought the Hawks organization nailed the entire pre-game, from the unveiling of the Banner (No dry eyes in my section!) to the Trio of our very best Hawks raising the 12th man flag. It was outstanding!

Even the Cheeseheads I talked to had to tip their caps to the Hawks. It was a terrific game day experience.
