Bronco's Going Down in Denver

Postby savvyman » Sun Jan 11, 2015 4:53 pm

Looks like a Super Bowl rematch is not in the cards.

Denver is down 21 - 10 and they look like they cannot stop Luck.

Fortunately for that fan base in Denver Luck proves, Luck can stop Luck. Turnover #1 unforced, does he have enough time to make up for a half of ball control, checkdowns, and no turnovers? Inquiring minds want to know.....

This drive by the COLTS is putting a stake right through the heart of Denver.

I think the Colts have an excellent chance at New England next week.

Manning is terrible. He just doesn't have an NFL caliber arm anymore. I love it. Elway went from being the man who traded Tebow to the man who is going to have to tell Manning to take a hike. 2 one and dones in 3 years at home. LOL serves you right horse face.

Maybe we will get to evaluate RW vs Luck in Glendale?

Wow, so do they take Manning out and shoot him, turn him into glue, and dogfood or what. That man is done. Maybe he should have been done last year to be quite honest.

Class act, super guy, great QB, but his days in the sun are over.

( oh and just a little tidbit: Wilson outperformed Luck with his third down passing alone)

Indy kicked their azz.

This is one of those games where the score wasn't even as *close* as sometimes these matchups can be.

Denver's new, FA defense, failed miserably in stopping Luck.

The Colts also physically kicked the Broncos' butt as well.

That said, for Indy to win in N.E., they are going to have to go for broke. They will need to mix it up really well offensively, and take some deep shots early to keep Pats on their heels.

Defensively, more of the same as today - press coverage, and gamble with some blitzes on Brady. Even if you don't sack him, put a helmet on him, because the guy will get bitchy if he hits the turf more than he's accustomed to. CB's need to chuck receivers at the line to throw off his timing, and help create a narrow passing lane for Tom to work with.

The Colts have a decent shot in this one, so long as they don't play it conservative.

I'm trying to agree with you, because we would DESTROY the Colts in a Super Bowl, but I just cannot see it.
I think the Pats are going to beat the Colts pretty easily actually, and I think if they played the game ten times, the Pats would win at least eight times. They're just way better in every way.

The Colts are not beating New England. They are a one dimensional team and there is nothing Belichek does better than taking away one dimension. They've played the Pats twice in the Luck era and got destroyed both times.

I hear ya, monkey.

The margin for error is very small for Indy, as they will need to replicate what they did in Denver today, on top of being pounded - at home no less - by the Patriots in week #11.

What's interesting about it, IMO, is that all the pressure is really on the Patriots here, and they have dropped their last couple of CCG's, with one of them being at home (vs Ravens) two seasons ago.
