So you complain about the Hawks re-signing a MUCH MUCH MUCH better RB in Lynch but all of the sudden Gore is some huge weapon. Come on. The Hawks have TRIED much harder than acquiring an over the hill RB and 34 year old WR to put playmakers around RW, they just haven't done a great job on the WR front.

Old Relics of the game... notice that these are two players on the downhill side of their careers? If you bring them in expecting to see 1200 yards from Gore and 1000+ from Andre, you probably overspent and are dreaming.

I think in their Offense, 1000 yards from Johnson isn't a stretch if he stays healthy.
Teams have a choice to make - go heavy on Offense or Defense.

The Colts have gone big on Offense, but their D isn't anything to write home about.

That being said, I think we need more attention to our Offense as our Defense will still be a little banged up to begin the year and probably won't be able to carry the load like they have the last few years.

Dude get a clue, The hawks may have tried but they failed. Johnson would be a huge upgrade to any Wr we have period. Then your focus on Gore is laughable, the point was Indy needed to put weapons around Luck and they did. We need to put weapons around Rw and to date we have not, period not arguable its the truth period. My complaint about resigning Lynch, which I am still waiting to say my feelings, has more to do with our lack of putting receiving weapons around Wilson, and resigning Lynch will hinder that or make the FO feel like they can skate by again. Add in Lynch still had another year left on his contract and yet we did not make him honor it, so what happens after this year and he pulls this crap again, we going to continue to give more and more? I sure hope not.

All that aside Indy is putting weapons around their franchise QB we have not remember they also signed Carters Kid who from all accounts is a beast at WR. Good enough for us to be interested as well. SO as I said they are putting weapons around their Franchise QB we are not. So far

Johnson had 936 yards last year with a bad QB now he has a good one.

Agreed we need to improve our offense at Wr and oline, so we can compete while our defense heals.

I said that they have TRIED putting WR weapons around RW, but have failed at so far. You don't know how Johnson will do in Indy so that easily could be a failure as well, like Harvin was here. If that were the case then all Indy did was TRY as well. I agree Johnson would be a nice weapon to add here but I would want to see the contract numbers first. He is going to be 34 years old at a position that is better served by youth.

I have no idea what you mean when you say my 'focus on Gore is laughable." There were to 'weapons' that you mentioned: Johnson and Gore so it looks like you focused on Gore, not me. My point was that if Gore is supposedly a weapon that Indy added then what the heck is Lynch?

Using your logic the Hawks should have cut Lynch and then signed Gore and Johnson, thus putting more 'weapons' around him. I'll bet if you were to ask RW which weapon/s he would rather have he would choose Lynch every time. Therefore, (come on follow me here) the Hawks HAVE put weapons around RW.

They haven't put many around Wilson until today.
1 (Lynch) isn't many, but adding Graham should help out a lot.

I know Lynch isn't 'many' but the OP was saying Gore + Johnson is. My point was Lynch > Gore & Johnson. Now, obviously, Graham is a big time weapon.

Nice try, way to deflect and not the point. However all this is now moot as they have taken a step and put a weapon around Rw.

The issue is Lynch is not great than Gore and Johnson. Nor was my point specifically about those 2 but instead showing what a team should do to put weapons around their franchise QB. However that is all moot now as the Hawks have gotten a weapon for Rw and I am betting more to come.

The Hawks have indeed attempted to put those weapons there. Lynch, Harvin, Graham, drafted Richardson, Norwood, Micheals, I can understand the sentiment that they have done well finding the right pieces, but didn't "put them around him"? Nah. Seattle has invested a TON of capital in attempting to do so, whats more, they are attempting to do so, with players in their PRIMES, not some relic on the last legs, grasping at championships. I have a hell of a lot of respect for both Gore and Johnson, but they aren't the "difference" between titles and another loss in the playoffs.

Seattle continues to assemble "elite" players ( and I didn't like the Graham trade, but can at LEAST admit he is "elite") , yet, it's Indy that "knows how to put weapons around their QB"? something off their. Hilton is their playmaker, Johnson is nothing more than Hakeem Nicks ( #2) in that offense, and Gore won't come close to a thousands yards again while wearing a horsesoe ( hint: If the team you are on throws the ball 50 to 60 times a game, and you are a RB, you will NOT be rushing for a thousands yards that season).

I don't see either as any type of difference maker on that team. Could be wrong on that, but doubt it.
