Tebow is a winner. Bringing him in makes plenty of sense. Bradford will never hold up and we all have seen plenty of butt fumble. Now Kelley has a guy who can run his offense and also provide a serious option to run between the tackles. Go get em Tim!!!!!

Tebow is a long ways from making the roster let alone get significant playing time. First he has to be invited to camp and second he has to make the team. Kelly doesn't have squat with regards to TT. All they did was ask Tebow to entertain them for a short period of time. He does not have a contract offer and is not expected to get one.

INCORRECT. I read an article written yesterday that reported that the Eagles are very interested in Tim Tebow and will likely sign him to a contract if they can move Matt Barkley. At a minimum all the Tebow haters who were mocking him for not getting a whiff of interest over the last 2 years need to eat a little crow. But you wont, will you?

I don't know why I should eat crow regarding anything Tim Tebow has done or hasn't done. I advised against drafting him in the first round and since then have often times stated that he does not have what it takes to be a successful QB in the NFL. Nothing I have seen since then has caused me to reconsider those comments.

Tebow does not have a contract offer. He has not tried out for a team and he has not made a 53 man roster. He has not played a down in 1.5 years. Once he has started playing and succeeds in meaningful games, then perhaps you can demand folks like me to eat crow, but not after one solitary workout that has yet to even garner a contract offer.

So Tim Tebow is a starting caliber QB but the greatMatt Barkley is the hurdle that is preventing the Eagles from offering him a contract. *Guffaw* you do realize there is nothing preventing the Eagles from bringing 4 QBs into training camp... Like they (and every other team) do every season. P.S. They also brought Terrelle Pryor and Thad Lewis in for private workouts as well. But for some reason it only means something when they bring Tebow in?

I think it was Bleacher Report who called Tebow the Kim Kardashian of the NFL.
He's never done anything of note, but is a favorite on social media.

Why does this matter in the grand scheme of things Tebow, simply put, was not a very good QB. Just like Locker was not a very good QB. Why some feel "slighted" with the truth of the matter, is beyond me. What his religion, race, sexual preference, drinking habits, political views, etc, etc does not mean squat, IF the man can play football, that trumps all that other garbage. Tebow could NOT do that successfully enough to maintain a career in the NFL. MAYBE he could have had he moved to a position he was better suited for ( where he did not have to throw a football) but to date, the man simply has no accuracy, poor footwork, poor mechanics and is NOT a very good QB ( and really never was, at least at the NFL level, playing like shite for 56 minutes, and then playing great for the last four does not equate to "great" or even mediocre QB play) hence, the man can't find a position ( even as a third stringer somewhere, or as an injury replacement for teams that lose 3 of them during the course of a season, and the two after the starter that were young, inexperienced and pretty bad overall were still deemed "better" last season).

What his life outside of football was, simply does NOT matter, what he has produced on the field has been deemed "lacking" by many, and that is NOT just the "know nothing fans" it is by coaches, scouts, GM's, media personnel, analysts, knowledgeable and un-knowledgeable fans.

Until or rather IF Tebow learns to play QB, than maybe he'll get a shot, but unless he figures it out quick, how do you see that happening when he has had YEARS to improve, and hasn't?

To add to your comments, Kelly also noted that they bring in a lot of players for private workouts but Tebow is the one everyone talks about. One does have to marvel at how passionate his supporters are. I've never seen the likes of it.

It does seem a little weird that trading a late round draft pick for a 3rd string quarterback is what the decision on whether or not to bring in Tebow revolves around. If Kelly feels Tebow has some potential worth then what difference does trading Matt Barkley make? Why not just bring him into camp and let him compete for a roster spot?
