TT, is a dead issue. Chip took for situational plays. He is not a good Qb at all. Yes he is every step-Father's dream. He is just not a very good passer.

I read a couple of comments as well saying he was being considered as a short yardage QB specialist.
If Kelly can rationalize a spot just for that function is up to him, but we'll see how it goes.

That would mean they would have to keep 3 QB's on their active roster as one of them is likely to be the injury prone Sam Bradford. That's been Tebow's problem ever since he was traded from the Broncos, which is that teams view him as one dimensional, a QB that can run but can't hit the broad side of a barn with his passes, and not many teams are willing to sacrifice a spot on their active roster for a package QB. The Jets had to utilize him as a blocker on the punt team in order to justify keeping him on the roster.

Stay tuned to the draft on Thursday. If Whisenhunt decides that Mariota doesn't fit his system and passes on him, he'll slide at least to the #6 spot where the Jets are sitting at as the Jags are going defense no matter what Tampa and Tennessee do, the Raiders already have a QB they're happy with, and the Skins just picked up RG3's option at $16M in 2016. The Jets have a lot of holes to fill and could be talked into trading down. That could put Mariota within Kelly's reach, and all this discussion about Tebow will be a moot point.

Yah 3 QBs is a tough thing to justify if one is only for short yardage.
However maybe this is the first step towards specializing the QB position much like we have different down packages, maybe Kelly will try to change how Quarterbacking is done.
He's a pretty innovative guy.

Urban Meyer has some thoughts on Tebow going to Philadelphia:

That was a little more than just Myer's thoughts about Tebow going to Philly. He confirmed what a lot of us had been saying for the past couple of years as to why so many teams were reluctant to bring him in, ie the distraction caused by all the media attention that Tebow created for himself, a.k.a. "The Circus", and I agree with him that it seems to have toned down quite a bit since Tebow's days in Denver. Tebow would be well advised to fly under the radar as much as possible and not give his new head coach more headaches.

Had Tebow taken Meyer's advice back when he was playing for the Broncos and not forced his mug in front of the cameras and microphones at every possible opportunity, he might have gotten another shot at an NFL roster prior to his current one.

Unfortunately for Tebow, if he does have some success the circus will return.
I suspect if it does, he will lose some of the traction he might have created.

Tebow brought most of the media attention on himself by accepting every interview and one-on-one request that came his way, used it as a platform to advance his religious beliefs and thereby created a controversy, then went on a speaking tour during the offseason. I swear, in that 2011 season, I couldn't turn the channel without seeing or hearing him. If he just says no a few times, the media will go somewhere else for their stories and he won't draw that circus atmosphere out of the woodwork like he did back in 2011, at least not until, or rather if, he starts and has some on field success. Urban Meyer hit the nail on the head when he said "The problem with Tim — and this is the only problem — he creates so much conversation and distraction that I think that spooks some teams.
