I wasn't sure if the suspension affected getting a ring or playoff bonus money for that matter. I guess what I was asking is if the suspension punishes Browner past just missing time.

He was not the same player at the start of this year. I believe he was far more than an occasional user and that's why the team had him busted.

Sorry, but a regular smoker would have this as a problem. Pot slows down your metabolism, if taken on a regular basis.
I watched the same games as everyone else. I think Lane was a BIG improvement. Didn't you? Would you of thought that a year ago? Or did Jeremy just suddenly get that much better? ... .No, I think Brandon was GREAT his first years here and slowed down.

jshawaii22 wrote:Yes, it's all a guess. My hypothesis may be flawed to all of you, but I view what happened in those few weeks as a business decision for the team, not a personal thing. The team, maybe they heard a rumor or saw something they didn't like and looked for a way to deal with it.
With all the information in the last few months about how the NFL only tests once a year, early in the preseason, I would like to know how he and WTIII were busted in the middle of a year and why them? (Some of our contracts require pee tests and they are done in under 3-5 days to satisfy some of our clients. It doesn't take that long.) Why would the NFL wait or does it just take that long to work its way through their system. I don't know.
I think he passed the first test, that he knew was coming. Maybe the NFL didn't tell him he was in Phase II or whatever it was, but he failed another test that should of been taken within a few weeks of the suspension. This puts it into the first quarter of the season.
As for Brandon slowing down @28 years old vs. having some other reason to slow down... Could be, but physically, he should be at his peak right now. He's not 30 yet, which seems to be the magical age that the NFL bodies give out. I have no way to know If he was hurt coming into the year. I don't recall him being on the injured list at the start of the year.
I know he got hurt after the test came back positive the second time. That would have no bearing on this.
And, yes he should get a ring.
And yes, the team does benefit with a suspension over a demotion as it allows them to replace him on the roster, which they did.
Everyone can think I'm crazy and should F- off. Maybe it was a 'one-time' thing or whatever or you don't believe that smoking dope doesn't have a negative effect, but when you need to be at 100% peak both mentally and physically, pot will take that away and you may not even know it. And yes, that part of it I do know about. Pot is the State's flower out here. Far more common that alcoholism to have a person with a pot problem. As an employer, I've had to deal with it more than once. I've had to fire employees over it. I can spot it. I've lived it.

I hate to tell you but marijuana will speed up your metabolism, so your point holds ZERO water. The ONLY thing you will EVER find BAD about pot is smoke entering your lungs. http://www.ask.com/question/does-mariju ... metabolism
The people with drug or alcohol "problems", HAVE PROBLEMS TO BEGIN WITH!!!
The cannabis sativa/hemp plant is the most medically effective plant/medicine in the world and can CURE endless medical issues. it is not used by the big pharma because you cannot patent the plant. https://www.google.com/search?q=rick+si ... 2&ie=UTF-8
Please educate yourself before you knock this plant and quit taking CHEMICAL medicine!!! People talk about how bad it is to have our food fed with non organics and pesticides, why would you not question the pills you THINK help you??? go ahead and look up what your pills are made of and then look up what they cause to happen in your body. Look up the affects of the candida yeast alone from the pills. Pharma meds KEEP YOU SICK or at least will not cure you, it is an aspirin without a cure. I have seen this plant help people without effecting them negatively if used correctly and when you are not high, it will not affect you AT ALL!!! of course you will be slowed down when you ARE high.
Sorry for the medical rant fellow 12's! Your welcome to disagree if you wish but i do urge you to educate yourself.
RIP MY BROTHER XIITHMN!!! 2/7/14 GO HAWKS!!!
