Well, Maxwell is out, shortness of breath. Does he have asthma? Oh, and M.Bennet was telling anyone who would listen that our defense was the best there has ever been. I hope that doesn't come back to bite us.

We got off the field, finally.

I don't mind it when Walters calls for a fair catch, he seems to catch it without any undo drama. It scares the beejeebus out of me when he decides to run one back because I don't know how good he is at protecting the ball when the other team is going for it.

He has caught a few passes, but he hasn't caught a TD, yet. He will have his best game when he has caught a couple of TD's in a game.

I wonder how Future would explain away this game by Russell. now 8-8 for 190 with 3 TD's on 3rd down, but, I see he's already tried. Ha, Ha... can't throw from a pocket.

Lockette flat out dropped what should have been a TD. That and that stupid PF he is NOT my favorite Seahawk right now.

OKnow Luke has a TD. I had to pause my DVR a while ago to use the facilities, I guess I have not caught back up yet. I guess I am behind in my times LOL

Hey! Props to the Panthers because they have given our guys all that they can handle, they are NOT far away. This years Panthers would have destroyed the 49ner team they lost to in the play offs last year. This season the Panthers found a way to make it back to the Play offs and knocked off the Cardinals. The Whiners imploded, didn't make the play offs, and had their HC quit on them.

Panthers-49ners two franchises going in opposite directions.

Great game by Kam Chancellor. And total class act in post game interview. That's the way it should be done on and off the field. Another guy on your team I admire and respect.

So Wilson final numbers

15/22 268 yards, 12.2 ypa, 3 tds, QB rating 149.2, 22 yards rushing

The bolded ones currently are Playoff leading stats with All QBs other than Manning and Rodgers having played 1 game

7-7 with 3 tds on third down

He did it in the pocket, outside the pocket, scrambling and running, and of course his leadership was amazing, showing why he is the only 5 tool QB in the NFL and blazing the way for the dual threat QB, that last line came from LT on NFL network, and all 3 on there agreed he is a franchise/elite QB.

What a terrific TEAM win.
So many players had standout games.
Jermaine Kearse, Luke Willson, Doug Baldwin all caught touchdowns and made some plays. Luke Willson especially stood out to me, he's REALLY come on the last part of this season. And of Russell Wilson...what more can be said really? He's simply the most dangerous player on our offense. I would not trade him for anyone, not Andrew Luck not Aaron Rodgers, not anyone.
Defensively Earl Thomas, Bruce Irvin, Cliff Avril, Richard Sherman (should have been two picks...) all had excellent games.
Kam Chancellor was the best defensive player on the field tonight, for either team in fact.
I honestly think that was the best game I've ever seen from a strong safety...amazing!

So many outstanding individual efforts to combine to make an awesome team win, but to me, the two best players tonight were Wilson and Chancellor. The only player who didn't look impressive much of the time was Tharold Simon. Cam Newton really picked on him.

Well...We Did It!

Hah, back in the NFCCCG.

Wow. What a GREAT time to be a Seattle Seahawks fan.

Beyond proud of our team.

1st time in 9 YEARS, Amazingly, that a defending SB Champion has won a playoff game the following season.

But that's just plain trivia compared to what we're going after.

Go Seahawks!!!

Future - I have not had an opportunity to follow all the debating about Russel Wilson capabilities inside and outside the pocket but after watching him every game for three years I can assure you he can throw just fine from the pocket.

However - here is the key point that so many "Experts" miss when trying to analyze Russell WIlson - this key point is:

Russell has rarely ever had a safe pocket from which to operate and throw from over the past 3 years - therefore he is forced to operate outside the pocket on a regular basis. If Russell has had a safe pocket to operate from then he would not spend so much time outside the pocket manufacturing offense on the fly.

As far as the rubbish that Russell is a success only because of a great defense - that argument was put to rest on his first year in the Playoffs, on the road against the #1 seed Atlanta. The Seahawks were down by 20 points in the 4th QUARTER - NO NFL team in history had ever won a game down 20 points - however Russell rallied us from that 20 point deficit to put us in the lead with 31 seconds to go in the game - (which we eventually lost because of the Freaking Seahawk killer known as the "Soft Zone" ) - In rallying us to come back 20 points in that playoff game ON THE ROAD - Russell only accomplished the following:

>>>>>>>Wilson threw for 385 yards as the Seahawks nearly rallied from a 20-point fourth quarter deficit to shock the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. In doing so, Wilson broke a 75-year old record for passing yards in a postseason game by a rookie. The record was previously held by Washington Redskins quarterback Sammy Baugh.

Wilson completed 24 of 36 passes with two touchdowns and an interception (on a Hail Mary attempt on the last play of the game) to rally the Seahawks from a 27-7 deficit to take a 28-27 lead with 31 seconds to play.<<<<<<<<<<<

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/14/russell-wilson-sets-record-for-postseason-passing-yards-by-a-rookie/

So what has Russell done since that record setting Atlanta game in his first year? Set the all time NFL record for most wins in his first 3 years - win a Superbowl in his second year - Last night his QB rating - against a very good defense - was the 5th highest of all time for a QB in the playoffs - and finally below is another (by reasonable person standards) remarkable achievement by Russell:

>>>>>>>>Russell Wilson's 109.6 postseason passer rating is best in NFL history (min. 150 attempts) ahead of Starr, Rodgers, Warner, Brees, Montana.<<<<<<<<<

https://twitter.com/johnpboyle/status/554183898368720896

I hope you can understand why Seahawk fans think he is a very special football player - At the end of the day Russell WIlson is most of all one thing --------> A Winner.

And so to sum things up - only in the words of c_hawkbob's favorite athlete can we express how Seahawk fans feel about Russell Wilson:

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Good breakdown, savvy man.

It was a great team win. And yes, my nooooooooo was when max got rolled up on - yikes. I'd really like to see him next week.

I agree that Simon had a bit of a rough game on many fronts. In addition to not being very LOB-like, I saw him punch at the ball a full second or two after the player was down & he whined for OPI on every play where he was bested. He needs to get his noggin in the game. Here's hopin both our Max's are back next week.

Good game fellas! Congrats 12s.

I think the rest of the league was put on notice yesterday. The Hawks aren't a run only team. Go ahead and put all your energy into stopping the run game and see what ya get! Perfect timing. Now who ever we play has to really game plan for a team who just proved they have a QB that can spin the ball with the best of them!

One more win and I'll get to book my flight to Phoenix!

You know its funny, I watched the Indy game. I watched Luck scramble some and do what Future calls playground plays, I watched him leave the pocket even though he did not need to, in fact I watched him do these things the last several games. I also watched him throw 2 ints and be bailed out by his defense.
