My reaction after the game was a lot more subdued than I thought it would be, almost anticlimactic, I guess because the game was never really in doubt and that my emotions were spread out over 60 minutes rather than getting bottled up all game then suddenly released like it was against the Niners. I've waited 38 years for this moment and thought that when it finally came, I was going to run out onto the street and start turning cartwheels, but my reaction was rather ho-hum like it was our 5th Lombardi instead of our 1st. But nevertheless, I enjoyed every single second of it and will watch it over and over again.

Isn't that strange? That is exactly the way I felt. I guess I did all of my celebrating in the first half (well, and the opening kick-off of the second half). A little anti-climactic.

But g***amned if I won't take it. I didn't need a nail biter. I didn't need it to come down to the wire. I didn't need to see an evenly matched game. I needed that Lombardi. WE needed that Lombardi.

How fitting that we get our first score 12 seconds into the game? Even more fitting that we scored 12 seconds into the beginning of the second half.

I couldn't help to think of those who didn't live to see this day. My father who was a season ticket holder from the start and took us kids to our first football games and got us started in the sport. The only brother who possibly had a shot at a college scholarship was injured and so became a coach. Both passed away before their time but they were here in spirit and I know they were smiling.

I share some of this same reaction. Its a quiet satisfaction. I was lucky enough to attend the NFC championship game and felt all of the intensity and elation; that victory left me with a feeling that was akin to the birth of my first child. Whereas, the SB win is more like the birth of my second child; I am thrilled and filled with a satisfaction that will never be extinguished. Its the sort of feeling that likely will hit me at random, well into the future. When stopped at a light I will feel an unexplained sense of joy, it will take me a moment to recall its source; oh yeah, we won the SuperBowl. The joy will come and go but will well up randomly throughout life.

LOL, you tell em Rott!!

I don't even know what to say, I just had to post something here.

When you are a fan that puts in the amount of emotion towards grown men playing a game like we all are here, yesterday is the ultimate payoff. It just doesn't get any better than that.

So proud, so happy, I love all of you!!

Maybe now, just maybe, I can kinda let XL officially go???

Billicheat will never understand this blueprint and why since they stopped cheating they have done nothing.

Friend of mine, a Packers fan said, everyone now will be gunning for us. This will not change our mindset however. Like Pete said, win forever!

What he did cannot be replicated in half the teams across the league.
Older teammates won't buy in.
They have to be young, just starting out like we are in order for this to work. Or you have to have a special set of older players that will see the light at the end of the tunnel and be willing to play for their respective teams. Chemistry is another factor. Not all teams have this.
Coaches. Again, they ALL have to buy in. If not you will have division.
They may like the blueprint, but a good team to do what the Seahawks have done requires years and a fluid roster.

I think you may see some FA's come our way, and play their heart out in order to get to the top of the mountain. These kids are just 24 years old some of them, and they are already SB CHAMPS? You gotta think that we have at least a couple of SB's and Championship games left in our system before we hit our peak.

RW is positioning himself to be one of the best qb's in the league. He will win MVP soon enough as soon as people figure out how to slow down Manning.

I know I can't be only one that is ecstatic that Carroll and Wilson got a ring before Jimmy H and Kaepernick. Had this little converstation on FB with an old college acquaintance who's a Niners fan that started with disrespecting Richard Sherman:

49ers Fan: Revis and Sherman have two different styles. Revis baits a lot of pics because he was so fast and has great ball skills. Sherman is 6'3 so he is slower but is a lot more physical to make up for it. They let him get away with it and I've heard him admit it several times.

Me: Haters are going to hate.

49ers Fan: Whatever (my last name) you know on a neutral field or neutral refs we hoisting that trophy tonight.

Love how he went there; he's not the first Niners' fan I know that feels they should have been there instead of the Seahawks. They even reach back to the Saints game saying that call on Bowman's hit on Brees as the reason they didn't get the division or HFA, which means they automatically beat us for the NFCCG. Bunch of should've-could've-would've whiners that can't stand the fact that the Seahawks didn't leave their window open for very long. There time isn't necessarily over, but they know they can't get back to Superbowl without going through the Seahawks.

Couldn't be more excited for this win, and I'm even more excited for you guys who've been at this since '76. Y'all've (that's a real word in the South) seen way more ups and downs than I have, so congratulations to you guys! Go Hawks!
