Ya we are going to the KC game, standing room only for $75. Taking Amtrak rountrip for $30. $105 is not bad for a game.

I may try to go to the Thanksgiving game. We should meet at a tailgait if you decide to go too.

Penalty of "emphasis" add it to the Simon 103 yard into return.... LOL

I believe it was IC, not OPI. I understood the call, he was full out blocking and cleared Sherman out. That said I don't know what was illegal about it.

Despite some lingering concerns about the OL, in particular our bookends, the offense looks great. Russell is making all the right calls, great decision making. He had a 140.0 rating last night, has yet to throw an interception. I know it's only the preseason and defenses are more concerned about talent evaluation than they are game planning against an opponent, but Russell is playing the position so instinctually that he's making everything look like it was exactly what he expected beforehand. Harvin is a game changer, and if he stays healthy, I can see us scoring 25-28 points per game, a top 5 offense to go along with our top rated defense.

Although a smart bookie would still peg our odds of repeating at less than 50%, I think we have a better chance of any team since the Patriots to win back-to-back SB's. This is our time, our window of opportunity. It won't stay open forever, and hopefully we can fit another Lombardi or two out of it before it closes.

I agree the OPI call was bogus but not because it didn't happen just that it shouldn't be a penalty. That was just one of the very few times we saw the point of emphasis on WRs initiating contact down field. Just as frrustrating to see it called.

Part of the illegal pick play emphasis, that rule is on the books, and is the Ying to the illegal defensive contacts yang

Whatever it actually was or wasn't it was called OPI on the field.

Would love to be there on Thanksgiving, but that's a holiday that'd be too difficult to get out of, as much as I'd like to. I would think you'd already have to have your ticket for that matchup, even for SRO, since it's going to be the most popular game at an already sold out stadium (I'm assuming, anyway).

Ya it should be the most expensive game. I was thinking I might shell out the money for tix for myself/dad as a surprise, but we'll see. Maybe we can meet on the Niner bye to watch Hawks. I am a big fan of the south bay and I am in Los Gatos frequently.
