I dunno.
All bets are off when it comes to Michael Silver.
Regardless, it is strange that Lynch did not go into the locker room during halftime, because he "couldn't walk"?
lol, whatever.
For as weird as Lynch can be, he still is the best offensive player we have right now.
Period.
I'd also Love to see him back next year, if they can work out a new deal or if Marshawn decides that he really Wants to stay.

I thought it was a good interview. He doesn't seem like he would leave the Hawks if they offered him a contract. It doesn't sound like he and Pete are hanging out after practice but they don't have to. In the end it comes down to $, if Pete and John want to sign him to a long term contract he will, if the cash is right.

Lynch talked? And of all people he chose to talk to Silver? And here I am thinking April fools day is 5 month away.

I don't know why this is even a story, it's a well known thing that the final year of a contract in the NFL hardly ever will be played out. So technically this is 3 year old news just got dug up because there is nothing else bad to report about the Hawks

And even though Lynch has been running hard lately if you see him sitting in pain and agony in that lower video you must wonder not how long but when he will no longer be able to play anymore. If he is really that much pain I can see him retiring before they even get the chance to cut him and with all the drama if it's true if he talked to Silver I would not be surprised if it is just as the playoffs begin but then again if you don't pay Lynch he don't say much

Thats about as quotable as Ive ever heard from Lynch. An enjoyable read. He sounds like he is all in with the team. Cutting him would be as stupid as letting Tate walk was.

First, he talked because he was threatened with a $100k fine if he didn't. He did have the good sense to get a contract tweak in there when he did talk, so he's got his wits about him.

Second, everybody in the league talks more to the press than him, it ain't peculiar to the Seahawks front office.

Third, I can understand not being able to walk but being able to play, but I'd a wanted to get warm at halftime.

Still love me some Beast, still not sure he's a Hawk next year.

Beast is eccentric, no doubt about it. It's hard to tell whether or not he'll be back. The ball is in his court, I'm sure the Hawks would tweak his contract a tad, maybe extend it a year if he really wants to come back. I do think there's a lot more to Beast's displeasure than Pete is making it out to be. Pete always paints a Mr. Rogers Neighborhood picture of his locker room. One thing I do appreciate about Beast is that when he is in there, he doesn't hold back, we always get 100+% from him.

From the PI,
PC opens up about ML:
Amidst reports of continuing frostiness between the Seattle Seahawks front office and Marshawn Lynch, head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that he believes the issues with his star running back stem from Lynch’s contract situation and holdout this summer.

Makes sense.

Now Pete says he wants him to stay "as long as he can play".

Show me a coach who wouldn't want Lynch for as long as he can play, and I'll show you a coach, that will be looking for a new career shortly.
