I have waited for over 50 years for a politician to provide this much insight to "poor reporters who are just trying to do their job".

Tell 'em, Beast:

This man have a creative way to pizz back at the League office after being fined for not talking to said reporters.

Yeah.

This guy is truly marching to his different drum ... a rare breed in this homogenous jellomass of canned responses.

Value wise, it's not much different than RG III last week responding to every question with something like 'we just have to concentrate on the 49ers'.
There is a comment on PFT that his responses met the meeting with the media, but he violated the spirit of the rule.
Let's see if he gets disciplined and RG III doesn't.

The "spirit" of a media hype rule? Maybe he should just repeatedly say "we're on to Cincinatti" and be done with it. LMFAO the "spirit" what tards. He fulfilled his "obligation" and then some IMHO he met with reporters, and didn't refuse to talk, whether it be a one word response or not, is irrelevant, and the media and the NFL can choke on it. If they do indeed fine him, then there is a LONG list of others that better receive the BS envelope as well.

Don't ever change a thing, Beast. Just be the same you as always.
Yeah.

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, it's a stupid rule. Of all the issues the league has to worry about, including concussions, domestic violence, racist nicknames, PED's, and so on and so forth, they're fining Beast $50K X2 for not talking to the media? It's absolutely insane IMO.

But on the other hand, it is a rule that was established by his employer for reasons they deemed important to their goals that is neither unsafe, immoral, or illegal, and as an employee, Beast has an obligation to follow it. There are a lot of stupid rules that all of us have to follow, and simply not liking them is not a good reason for flaunting them.

Ironically and quite recently, there was a stupid rule that my employer insisted that comply with that was very similar to the one Beast is being disciplined for violating. My employer insisted that I post a photograph of myself in my personal profile page on the company website. I am two years from retirement and not actively seeking promotion, so I saw no benefit to me whatsoever in publishing a personal resume on the company website, so I refused....until I was told to do it or else. Stupid rules.

They wouldn't accept the 'personal privacy' reason, huh RD?

That rule was a good thing in the past, but now where we have more than enough players on each team that want to get in front of a microphone and others that aren't uncomfortable, I'm not convinced it's of much benefit. Like was said above, who really needs to hear a bunch of cliches which tell us nothing?

Nope. They told me to use the photo they had for my ID badge, which was their property, not mine. I asked why if it was theirs, why they didn't put it on my profile page themselves. I suppose that if I really wanted to push it, I could have prevailed. But it wasn't worth it.

The league has a financial relationship with the media, and one of the things the media needs to pay their bills is fans like us that hang on every word uttered by our conquering hero's. It's that kind of media exposure that helps pay for Beast's salary.

Dog, your Human Resources Director is obviously trying for a tryout with the NFL.
