I don't know Sav, we should be up by 28, I have serious doubts that we can hold them. The good news is we are ahead, and their defense has to be getting tired and mentally fatigued.

Wow I am impressed. We just played 2 tough physical Football teams in 4 days and beat them both!! In spite of all the turmoil, all dysfunctional play, and the injuries, I think we're back folks!!

That sure was a satisfying grind 'em up win.
Still have a problem with short yardage and Red Zone production, though, but if the Defense continues to dominate, we still have a better than good chance to win.

So Trey WIngo of ESPN tweets "Seattle gets a big win... but that's the 2nd straight game they've scored just 19 points."
Does he not realize we just played the 2 best defenses (other than ourselves)?
Don't get me wrong I am not happy with our red zone offense, although that offensive PI call on the Preach touchdown was weak (Wes Welker did much worse against us earlier in the year with no calls), but those were 2 damn good defenses.

Agreed but we should have had more in both games except for a few mistakes, bad calls, bad play calls, drops etc. We clean up what we can control and we score way more, and soon we get miller back.

Seriously dominant performance by the Hawks defense. Yet I am baffled at the way the Niners are managing their offense. It is like they are listening to all the talking heads like Ron Jaworski who worship at the altar of the pocket passer. Kaepernick is effective in the read option and is a legit threat as a runner yet the Niners seem intent on establishing Kaep as a pocket passer. I almost feel sorry for the guy. He is like a bird whose wings have been clipped. Just let the man run. Seriously, Kaep with the sad faces and Harbaugh with the sweatshirt and glasses, it almost felt like the Hawks were picking on the kids from the short bus... almost.

Maybe all the questions about Harbaugh's future is having an effect on their Offense.

Old but Slow wrote:I am waiting for the Kaepernick to hit the fan when Harbaugh learns about the tweet Ned York made to the Niner fans. Apologizing for the performance of his team while they have a winning record? Not so classy.
While the Seahawks were sloppy at times, and deserved some of the penalties, it just seemed like the officials were trying to keep the game close. Very unevenly called game from the striped shirts.
While I questioned some of the play calling in the red zone, I have to admit that Bevell made some changes in the screen game (which I have complained about repeatedly), and they seemed to have a new wrinkle in it, and it worked a few times. Bravo. And to get over 150 yards against that defense is impressive.
Just a beat down, for sure. Just a different Seahawks team than they were just a couple of weeks ago. The pass defense was amazing, as our DBs were all over the receivers consistently. Of course, it didn't hurt any that the Kaep couldn't hit the target; he missed some chances
Also, the offensive line played much better than they have in a while, and against a very stout defense. I don't know how much you can attribute to Jeanpierre, but they looked better, and Okung played well against a very tough opponent.
Well said.
The penalty discrepancy was ridiculous.
Sehawks: 14/105yds
49ers: 3/20yds.
Gimme a break.
Luckily, it didn't matter.
Man, this win was as delicious as the Turkey dinner my brother cooked up tonight. I was far from certain we'd pull this off, but we did.
Big test again next week in Philly. They destroyed the Cowboys, who should be ashamed of themselves. The only thing that would have made today better is if Dallas and Chicago had won (we own tie breakers vs GB and Det at the moment, possibly Eagles if we beat them next week).
Regardless - HUGE WIN!
Gotta love it.
We whipped our opponent, then ate their supper at mid field.
Not a bad night:)
Go Seahawks!!!
