Depending on the accepted term for a blow out, it has been quite a long time since this team has got their a##es beat. If we are talking greater than 10 points for a blowout, then it was mid-2011. In 2011, Cinci ran up the score in and won 34-12. I remember hoping that Charlie Whitehurst (sp, seriously?) would kill it that day and take off from there; that should tell you enough about the time lapse.
We do not get blown out. End of story. That is obviously Pete Carroll's way, but either way it is pretty freaking cool. And obviously Russell seems to always out us in a position to win. What we have is rare.
Anyways, this HAS to mean something for our team's remaining playoff push in relation to the competition. Honestly, how many of the playoff contenders have been blown out THIS YEAR? Answer: all of them.
This is an amazing feat. We will all look back on this with the utmost admiration.
GO HAWKS!!!
