Guess they have nothing better to talk about and they all must love seeing this team fall apart, I love being hated LOL

Now not only Lynch is retiring but Cable is also leaving after the Hawks will hold of with talks if they want or not to renew Wilson's contract till after playoffs, I wish I could work as NFL reporter I can make $hit up better than they can. I for one can see Lynch retiring if his back keeps giving him so much discomfort and it is not going to get better for him if he keeps playing.

But this off season could be a rough one if Lynch indeed would retire and Cable, Bevell and Quinn leave for HC job.

I think he really is the "Lynch Pin" for our Offense. The Offense seems to get rolling when he busts a tackle and pushes the pile. It amps everyone up, and Defenses then focus on stopping him which opens up the rest of the Offense.

We might lose a few of our coaches this year. If Quinn goes, maybe Bo Pellini who previously worked for Pete might be a good pickup. Although I complain about the OL, Cable has been a steadying influence. If he goes, the new line coach might not want to use the Zone blocking system. It might take a while to get the new system and responsibilities working well together.

I read that article this AM. I can see Lynch hanging up his cleats because of his back and his personality (& the pressures that come w/ being an NFL star bring). I hope he's back for us next year though as he makes the game so fun to watch. I love his style. I know - we all do.

We have clearly been looking for his replacement and have not found him yet, IMHO. I know sometimes it takes multiple carries to get into a flow, but I remain under-whelmed by the pair. On the other hand, Justin Forsett is having himself quite a season. He leads the league in a few categories - one is the most 20+ yard gains. I wouldn't have thought he could step in and be that guy, but he sure has. And it's been over a period of time too. Who knows?

It's a speculative article, and it's not far off from some of my own speculation on the matter. I'll be tickled pink if Beast is still here next year, but I've had that as a sub 50% likelihood since before the season started.

Lynch is going nowhere - you can take that with 100% certainty - if there is one thing that Lynch has shown this year is that there is a lot of fuel left in his tank.
