A thorough Defensive domination of the potent Eagle offense by the Seahawks Defense.

Russell Wilson was great - except for that almost interception drop in the 4th that would have pulled the eagle to within 24 - 21.

Good team victory.

"The lowest total yards of any Chip Kelly team, Pro or College. 139 total yards!" Unf'nbelievable.

Actually, it's on to Seattle... ;)

I have to give some of you guys credit for calling this one. Outside of the Ryan phuck up, there was never any point in the game where Philly had any kind of advantage, although we did dodge a bullet on a ball that Wilson threw that could have very easily been a pick 6. But the way we were playing, I don't think even that would have made a difference. We were clearly the better team, both offensively and defensively.

We have a great chance to run the table, might even be able to afford a loss to the Lambs and still win our division. Gotta root for the Falcons again tomorrow night, not that I have any illusions that they have more than a snowball's chance in the lower reaches of knocking off the Pack in Lambeau.

Wow!

Man, to get this HUGE ROAD WIN is one thing, but to do it the way we did?

The Seahawks are in Playoff form right now. Still lil' ways to go to make it official, and we CANNOT take the 49ers lightly next week, but it's looking Damn Good.

Look at the box score for the win we just had...

http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=400554430

28 to 9 1st down advantage.
440 total yds to Philly's 139 (yds lost on sacks is subtracted)
252 yds passing by RW
188 yds rushing to Eagles' 57
46 rushing attempts to Eagles 22
85 plays from scrimmage compared to Philly's 45
TOP: Seattle (41:56) Philadelphia (18:04)

Unbelievably Stellar on the road today against a pretty good Eagles team that had not lost at home all year.

Well done.

Go Seahawks!!!

Add another bunch of 3 and outs for the D to those stats. Nothing helps a team more then 3 and outs.

Like I said, we are designed to beat teams like the Eagles. Dominant defense + Ball control offense vs fast tempo offense is no contest. The Eagles own tendencies play into our hands. Our offense, even though it didn't score a ton of points, it fed into the defensive performance, by keeping our defense fresh all game long.

Like I've been saying, against almost every other team in the NFL, the Eagles offense can wear a defense out just by the tempo and the sheer number of plays they run. The Seahawks are DESIGNED to turn that sort of tactic on its head, by forcing the Eagles offense into too many extremely quick three and outs, and in turn forcing the Eagles defense to stay on the field too long.
Game. Set. Match.
Eventually people will start to catch on and start to believe that the Seahawks system is specifically designed to beat high volume passing offensive team, even and especially ones with good to great QB's. They'll realize that the Seahawks beating literally every single great QB the NFL has to offer since Russell Wilson's rookie season isn't a fluke or an interesting statistic, it's design. DESIGN!

Great performance today.

The team is now 6-1 since the week after Harvin was traded (they lost to the Rams the week he was traded, just 2 days before the game). There is a sense of watching them on TV that they are as together as ever.

That being said, it still looks like there are 6 teams now battling it out for 5 spots, to go along with the NFC South winner. Have to take care of business next week at home, no letdowns.

RW3 was great again, the D was great again, had some really nice catches today from DB89 and JK15.

Gonna be a tense 3 weeks to end the year, but hopefully they can secure the division and a 1st round bye when it is all said and done.

We almost got the trifecta today, but KC couldn't get it done. Still...it's all in front of us. Proud of this team and all the staff. It's fun!

Carr looks to be the real deal, for sure.
the kid cares, and has a great attitude.

He's also very comfortable in the pocket, and has kept his head up all year after both close and blowout losses.
The fact that the Raiders rallied for today's game fresh off a 52-0 trouncing last week speaks about their character.

This was their SB today, and they spanked their hated rival across the bay.

If nothing else, Oakland has found their QBOTF, and that's a big step moving forward.

Obviously a great game but good lord what is wrong with Doug Baldwin?!? He has no business returning punts! He won't even fair catch them. That was frustrating!

Not too many complaints after yesterday. Clearly the punt return game is poor and WTF has gone wrong with Ryan? Wilson got a little greedy a couple of times and got sacked out of field goal range but he made up for it. The defense, what can you say it is filthy. If the boys can keep their focus they might wind up at the same destination as last year.

That's 2 games that Ryan has dropped a well snapped ball. Just dropped it.
I wonder if he's looking down field too early. In both games, once he made the mistake the rest of the game he did pretty well.
It's not as if he's punting badly, but just receiving the ball seems to have been an issue recently. It's weird.
Funny thing is in University, he played a little WR so you would think his hands aren't too bad.

It is a little strange, I wouldn't worry about it too much. He also is the holder on PAT's and Field Goals so lets hope this doesn't somehow become one of those weird issues, although I very much doubt it will be.

Yeah! He is solid, though I worry that the dysfunction of the Raiders could kill him. I still think (admit that my red/blue goggles color this debate) that his brother would have made a very good QB had he not been ROCKED his first few seasons. The cool thing to see is David coaching Derek about the pitfalls of the NFL and the younger brother will likely be better for it. Derek had better college numbers than David and David, as you all remember, was the #1 draft pick. Playing in a mid-sized market and having the failures of his brother on his resume booted him off of many radars. Strangely, I think the Texans (of all teams) would have been better off taking him than Clowney. Time will tell.

Thanks for noticing Bulldogs.

The "Greatest show on Turf" wasn't a "hurry up" offense, they were an abnormally pass heavy offense, that was willing to supplant the run with the pass, and unlike a west coast offense that did the same, it threw the ball deep down the field on any and all downs, and would do so in any situation. The speed of the players, and proficiency of the offense to score, and score quickly could give that impression, but the Rams huddled and called plays from the sideline like most other teams.

Obviously in their two or four minute offense it became a "hurry up" offense, but like most teams they did indeed huddle, call plays, then line up and run it. The certainly weren't milling around the LOS waiting for the ball to be spotted.

They did like to throw a lot of deep balls didn't they. God I hated them. Still do.
