Sort of O/T Brandon Browner

Postby NorthHawk » Mon Dec 08, 2014 11:44 am

I've been watching some of the Pats games and it's interesting how the comments have gone from he's mugging players on every play when he played here to he plays a physical brand of Defense the the Pats needed and Belichick likes as well as he has brought a physical attitude to the whole Defense.
There's not much said that is negative now he plays for the genius Belichick even though he plays the same way.

I've always liked the way he plays, though so I'm not complaining about that rather how his play is viewed now that he's on the Pats.

They made a pretty big deal last night regarding how many penalties he draws.

The penalty he drew last night for a hit on a defenseless receiver was a bad call, reminincent of Kam's hit on Vernon Davis a few years back. IMO a penalty like that should be reviewable as due to the head action, it appears like an illegal hit.

Been saying that for 2 years Riv. But they were talking about all his flags even before that hit and Collinsworth's misguided opinion that it was the "correct" call.

Belichick's no fool, he knew what he was getting when he sighned BB, and IMO he's getting the desired result.

I couldn't believe that Collingsworth, after spending what seemed like several minutes explaining about how Browner tried to avoid helmet to helmet and how it was only the head action that made it look bad, in mid sentence reversed himself and concluded that it was the right call. It's as if a little angel was whispering into his ear "don't show up the refs on national TV!"
