In the 3rd round, it would of taken a 5th or 6th pick to move up. The bottom line is, in hindsight, he was a steal as a 3rd round pick, and that will always be the story, but we didn't know that for at least another few months.
The draft is a crapshoot and the Seahawks, especially in the PC/JS era, seem to be doing better then other teams and we all hope it continues into the future.

I am wondering if what makes the approach of John Schneider special, is his appreciation of the mental side of the game. As a look from a current perspective, look at the discussion of Johnny Manziel as opposed to Russell Wilson. Not really an applicable comparison, except that physically they are similar. In terms of Schneider's view, there would be no comparison (as if I know how JS thinks). Manziel is not willing to work hard, and Wilson is not able to not work hard.
I have to view the video, as a perspective on JS, more than it is on RW. Passionate, focussed, realistic, and seemingly more intent on what the team needs than on what his legacy will be. The ideal GM. And I would love to spend a day or two sharing a drink and conversation with the man. Maybe two drinks.
