What a victory - Deja Vu & Deja Vu again!

Deja Vu #1 - Beast Quake II - Classic Stiff arm By Marshawn over at the sidelines on the run (Just like the first one) and then the crotch grab going into the end zone.

Deja Vu #2 - This Victory felt exactly like the Denver Superbowl Victory.

Riverdog picked a great game to see in person.

The rest of the NFC is hiding in their safe place right now. That was a frightning performance, offense and defense.

Yup, best team in football is CLEARLY the Seattle Seahawks. This sets up just like last year, get hot at the end of the year, played a monster game in the stadium where the Superbowl will be held right near the end of the season.

All game long I kept saying out loud, "Just a game manager huh?" "Can't throw from the pocket eh?" "Can't take games over by himself right?" Russell Wilson is a superstar, we Seahawks fans have a BRIGHT future ahead of us!!!

Buckle in boys I think we're winning another one!
Just saying... :D

Facts from the Game:
Russell had his best passing day in yards in his career and his most yards from scrimmage (includes his run)
Russell passed Luck as the all-time winningest QB in his first 3 years. They were tied.
The D has allowed 35 points in the last 5 games
The D is now the leagues #1 D in total yards and points per game, like last year. Only 2 other teams in the NFL history have finished two years in a row with that distinction. I remember the Bears were one, but didn't catch the other.

They do get up for the big games, don't they? Is next week a trap or a 'big game'?

Steelers and there was a third from the 50's. Have to finish the same way next week, definitely doable. Scary thing is, they are still real young and the bulk of that defense is locked up for many years to come. They could do this into the foreseable future....

WOW.
Just...Wow.
What a game. I liked our chances, obviously, but this game turned out to be much different than I anticipated scoring wise.

As usual, I was a bit frustrated early, because the score at the time (14-6) did not truly reflect the azz whoopin' we were putting on AZ.

Then, the flood gates started to open, and the cumulative effect of our D made the Cards desperate, and our offense took over. I certainly didn't anticipate seeing another Beast Quake run, and this sequel was about as memorable as the original.

The Seattle Seahawks are on fire right now.

Russell Wilson?
Forget about it, this kid is a super hero. The football Gods have blessed us ever since he arrived.
Amazing game.

I never saw this streak coming. I hoped it would, but hadn't counted on it after week 6 when we were sitting at 3-3.
Now, it's the final week for the Whole (playoff) enchilada. Beat the Rams, and we're are gonna be the #1 seed.

Beautiful.

What a great time it is to be a Seahawk's fan. This game encompassed so much of what this season has been; the slow start, the maddening penalties, the dominance that belies the first half score, RW's second half magic, the second half wear down of the opponent both offensively and defensively (Defenses are literally afraid of ML in the second half of games).

The stat that now 9 consecutive seahawks opponents have gone on to lose their next game is very telling of the beat down that opponent's experience.

Once again we find ourselves in the position of going to the SB, UNLESS someone can beat us at home. Lose at home? Not Bloody Likely!

Everyone is saying that if we win vs. the Rams, we have HFA, but no one has addressed the possibility of a Green Bay-Detroit tie, in which case both the Packers and Lions would be 11-4-1 and we would tie with the Cowboys with a 12-4 record, and the Cowboys beat us in head-to-head, so in that implausible scenario, would not the Cowboys get HFA?

Wilson was two wins ahead of Luck and has been since last year (5 including the playoffs).

It was a great game but WTH was up with Hauschka? I laughed so hard over the look on Carrols face when Hauschka missed his third, I don't think he ever missed 3 in an entire season. Don't want to talk to much trash about him or Jon Ryan and some of his buddies will beat me up at recess LOL http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/12/22/ ... tter-fight

I know H. ain't automatic 50 yards and out so I wasn't surprised he missed that first one but to miss all three, and there being no wind, has me worried that maybe he has a slight muscle pull or maybe there is a problem with the long snapper to Ryan combo? Who is the LS any how? Well, since it was such an aberration I hope S.H. is going to bounce back and go back to being almost automatic.

What a job by the O-Line! Against a defense that previously had sacked RW 7 times and has a ferocious pass rush. Even Collinsworth couldn't say enough good things about them. It makes me wonder, should Bailey be starting for Okung the rest of the way? One thing that didn't happen yesterday was Okung picking up his usual two penalties he usually gets because he wasn't playing.

Hey that Russel plays pretty well for being too short to be successful. Crow is getting real cold come get it.

I couldn't believe he missed 1, let alone 3. As bad as an ass beating as it was, it could have 9 points worse. The misses also gave the Cards pretty decent field position to start drives. It's amazing to think the D only allowed 6 points despite decent field position and Bennett and Irvin handing them free yardage... Complete Beat Down. (I was losing my mind on the back to back neutral zone infractions!)

Pulling some pretty long odds there RD. I understand anything can happen, but ties happen about .02% of the games in the NFL, and you are assuming a win by the Boys as well in this scenario which drops them even further. Yes it is "possible" the Boys magically get the number one seed if Seattle wins the next game, but the odds of it happening or damn near non existent. We'll know before Seattles game, IF it is even a possibility ( if the Boys win in the 10 am slot), and then it simply a matter of the Pack and Lions filling the .02% requirement.....

Only 2 teams all year have won the game after playing the Hawks GB and Denver, and Denver shouldn't even really count as they had a bye the week after playing us.

I understand the odds of a tie. It's only happened a handful of times in the thousands of games played since they instituted overtime. My 'gripe', as it was, is that the media was speaking in absolutes, and I was sure that wasn't the case.

I'm still waiting for my voice to return.

That's fine. The write ups I've seen always mention a tie could take the number one seed if Seattle wins the game, there isn't any real emphasis on it, nor do I think there should be. Baring an absolutely bizare circumstance, a Seahawks win, leads to the number one seed.

Yup. My understanding is that the odds of the Lions winning in Lambeau is about the same as a tie in any given NFL game anyway.

I really like backloading the schedule to provide for more divisional matchup. Lots of meaningful games these last few weeks.

I wouldn't bet on them but the Odds aren't as bad as people are thinking. Detroits defense is a beast and it's the exact type of team the Packers lose to.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan when I saw what appeared to be a brutal end to the season, but it worked exactly as the NFL intended and certainly *does* make for a more interesting last few weeks.
