Official Seahawks vs Rams Game Thread

Postby savvyman » Sun Dec 28, 2014 1:49 pm

This time around the Hawks will be ready for the Schoolyard playbook. Hawks also should be ready for a fight as the Rams will not go quietly. Actually this is a perfect game and team for the Hawks to play before entering the playoffs - Hawks must win and must do it against a tough, scrapy team. Should be a good game. Go Hawks.

Aaron Donald threw Carpenter to the ground as if he were a 160 pound kid.

Poor execution on the 4th down pass by L Wilson - both in not running to the first down marker and also not extending his arms out when he was being tackled.

Robert Turbin has been running excellently the past few weeks.

Russell has been hit hard at least 6 times so far this game. Int should not had happened - think it was Richardson who did not pull the pass in.

Like I have said before, the only way we can lose a game is if we beat ourselves. The good news is that we have been a second half team all year.

Offense needs to wake up - Defense has been excellent.

Outside of Turbin the offense has pretty much stunk up the joint in the first half.

What I like to know - and have been wondering about for 12 games now - Just what exactly does Bevelle and Pete have against the slant pass?

It isn't Pete, Pete doesn't do offense. It is Bevelle, and that's why many of us firmly believe that we win in spite of DB and his myopic play calling and not because of it. I just wish RW would just ignore Bevelle and run the plays he thinks should be run. Brett Favre once did that in Minnesota.

Right about Bevell but in the end Pete is the head coach and has final accountability for everything his assistant coaches do or don't do.

Well, we are finally on the board, how about that catch by Richardson??

We are going to wear down this defense, a defense we all knew was top notch, but their offense is no match for our defense.

Great Catch - it reminded me of several that Golden Tate made for us last year.

Huge TD - Huge big time play by Jordan Hill to make all of this happen.

BIG BRUCE IRVIN!!!! B-I has really come in to his own this year, he is making Pete look really smart by drafting him. I am going to eat a whole lot of crow, but happily so. I would rather be wrong and Bruce excel than the other way around. He can play the line, drop in to coverage, or rush the QB, very versatile.

I was stressing there for a bit - 66 yds for Rams at half, yet we're down 6-0. Knew we'd wake up eventually, but with so much at stake, I was waiting...and not patiently.

Great win.

Early sluggishness (even the crowd seemed zombie like in 1st half), then halftime adjustments.

Man, this feels good. So glad we took care of business.

The road to the SB goes through Seattle!

Go Seahawks!!!!

Hill - leg injury - he's walking around though with ice pack on sideline.

KJ - left hand injury, not sure how bad though.

Thanks... all I got today was my computer / phone. Glad we won, but it sure didn't look easy or very good for the first half. Let's hope 2 weeks off gets us ready for the Carolina team. I'm also 99% sure that GB will face Dallas (assuming they each win) but let them have at each other!
