Out for playoffs with a fractured foot. Guess the Panthers raised your J. Hill and offered a Star ;). This is an even bigger loss for them given how well you run the football.

Indeed. I don't think it's all due to one man. The young players growing into their roles have also played a part but I don't think it's a coincidence that as soon as Star finally got healthy and playing well, the Carolina defensive performance went up a notch or three.

Yes. And he was the one guy on their D front which appeared to give the Hawks the most trouble in prior meetings. Hawk Oline is going to wear the Panthers down by mid 3rd qtr, IMO.

Chasing Russell Wilson around is more likely to wear down the Panther's DL than our OL wearing them down.

That may be true but I gaurantee if Panthers had the chice they'd choose to stop the run first in this game. This guy is dominsnt in clogging the middle and it's a huge loss for them. Prob one of the most imporant contrubutors to the success of their D.

Oh, I agree. I just don't see our OL "wearing down" an opponent in the conventional sense.

BTW I think your spell check is a little on the fritz.

I don't see this game being that close, sorry. You have to be able to audible out of Seattle's defense. Who in here thinks Fig Bar is going to be able to audible at the Clink, during a playoff game?? NOT me. 31-17.

Do you really think Carolina is going to score two TD's, Obi?

I'll go with 27-6 Hawks.

I'm fine with 3-0 or 3-2 or 48-47 don't care, just get one more point than the Panthers and I'm cool. 1-0 everyweek gets the job done. GO HAWKS!

River;

I see. I will say that I do see it. I don't know how Cable does it, but no matter who the Hawks lose or who they plug in that Oline is dominant in the run game by this point in the YR. They seem to wear down every team they play by the 4th. But you have watched them far more than I have, so maybe I'm not on point with that.

I make most of my posts from my phone. My fingers hit a lot of keys that are unintended, and it's virtually impossible to correct the errors once I type them. The cursor moves so much that there's no way to backtrack. I did buy a nice Mac recently, which I am using to type this from a coffee shop overlooking the Sierra Mountain foothills. Not a bad way to spend a night, reviewing the football threads with a great view ;).

With the loss of Lotulelei I don't think this will be much of a game by the 2nd half. But I am hoping for some entertainment come Saturday.
