The first 50K was from 2013. The second 50K is from this year's KC game. Marshawn felt he complied with the requirement by conducting a phone interview with NFL Network reporters. The league viewed it differently. A nice chip on the shoulder for the entire team during the playoff run...... :evil:

Meanwhile suh get's "only" a 70k fine for trying to hurt someone on purpose for the who knows how many time and gets away with lying about it in a league that is all about protecting players and you fine a guy that "hurt" some journalist his feelings by not talking? Nice goodell, real nice

That's just it. I can handle the rule that requires that players talk to the media. After all, it's the network's money that's helping pay for their salaries. It's the inequity of the amount of fines that are levied. You have to make the punishment fit the crime, and no way in hell is $100K for not talking rise to the same level as a repeat offender like Suh.

Although to be fair to Goodell, it was the arbitrator that levied the punishment on Suh, not the league. Nevertheless, the fine for not talking to the press is excessive to say the least.
