Interesting timing I'd say. I do wonder why RW and his wife got divorced. First I've heard of any affair

I don't honestly know anything more for certain having read that than I did before (what else is he gonna say? I think not addressing it was just as convincing) but I will say I'm still a Golden Tate fan and wish he were still a Seahawk.

I heard the rumor from a good friend who heard it from some very wealthy well connected business associates long before it ever showed up in social media. I have since seen it reported online. For me its weird RW never addressed it. Nor did he make any type of public pitch for his #1 reciever last off season.I guess hes not dignifying rumors either but silence speaks volumes. Something happened between those guys. I notice that Tate speaks of their friendship in the past tense as well and recently refereed to RW as "pretty good, I guess".
As for the Harvin thing its just weird Tate seems to be addressing anything right now. Trying to get a little limelight for himself I guess since he isn't on TV till next August.
I agree C HAWK Bob he was a great, tough Hawk. We miss him in the return game as well as his toughness blocking and running in traffic after the catch. I'm sorry hes gone.

Mixing business with pleasure has a high potential for bad results in my experience.

If I had to make a guess as to what happened between the two guys, it would be in line with Tate wanted the ball more, and wanted more catches, more targets, and more $$$$. It isn't unique amongst receivers, and with Harvin here, that wasn't going to happen. Maybe Wilson attempted to explain it, or reason with Tate, and he saw it as "not going to bat" for him.
Ultimately, Tate got more $$$$ and the ability to showcase his skills, which in this offense isn't something that there is going to be a ton of opportunities to do. I don't blame him for his choice, and I don't blame Seattle for theirs, truth is, this IS a business, and both sides made decisions best suited for them.
I'll never begrudge Tate for leaving a run heavy team, for one that is clearly pass happy, and doubled his targets from any previous year. Tate was and is a very talented receiver no matter what some feel about him, and proved it quickly in Detroit this season, whether he is happy when all is said and done remains to be seen, as I don't see them winning a championship, or having extended success, some players though, the success of the team is secondary, and maybe Tate is one of those players.
Best of luck moving forward Tate, your contribution while you were here is appreciated, now on to bigger and better things for what it is matters most to the fans pulling and watching this team.

I can say with a 1000% certainty there was an affair with Tate and RW's wife. What I can't say is what role it played in the Hawks making a half hearted attempt to resign him. If I had to choose between RW or Tate, I think the Hawks made the correct choice...

No, you can't ( at least with anything resembling actual first hand knowledge, unless You ARE Golden Tate or Ashley).

Tate says Harvin never punched him yet Michael Robinson claims he broke up a physical altercation between the two?
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-foo ... tate-fightSo what was it they had, a pillow fight?

I have little doubt very little of what Tate said is true, given we know he and Harvin had a altercation.

a very bad timing by the Golden One. Two days before the NFCCG... no coincidence to me and mostly lies. For grins I perused the PFT Comments... Over 100... great.
Some of them are interesting, to say the least. The best is how Aaron Rodgers and RW are 2 of 4 gay players who wanted to 'come out' last year, but were beat by Michael Sam, saw what happened and backed off and that the wedding for Russell was a marriage of convenience, blah, blah. just gotta love the internet....
