...and of course it's completely being denied by the 49ers... and in this case, I believe them. The 49ers don't have a plan B and Kaep is signed for 6 years.
Sis, you think that they would trade him straight up for Cutler? Cutler's probably a better QB, just a total jerk of a human. That would shake up the NFL.

Do I think York and Balkke could do something stupid (like, say fire their winningest coach in nearly 2 decades)? Uh, yeah I think they have the potential and I think CK is irritatingly immature. Do I think this will happen, probably not, but w/ this cast of freaky Friday charachters, it makes me go hmmmmmmm.

It looks like they are going into rebuild mode - at least partially.
Willis and Justin Smith are reportedly retiring, Crabtree on the outs, Iupati getting some good offers.
That's a lot of talent from the last couple of years.

I would love if the niners got rid of Kaep and went into full rebuild mode, also they are certainly scarier with him at QB than anybody else they have on their roster. With that being said Phily would be the perfect landing spot for him. That offense fits his skill set quite well, lots of opportunity to use his ridiculous running ability, not really required to move past his first read. He could really thrive there and turn them into a scary team.

It would seem that Chip Kelly is desperate to get an athletic quarterback like Kaepernick. As I mentioned in another thread, there's some rumors bouncing around that they might swing a deal with the Jets for Marcus Mariotta if he drops to the Jets slot at #6.
I wouldn't mind seeing Kaepernick leave the division, either. Even though we've had some very good success against him, he's perhaps the only player in our division that is capable of beating us almost singlehandedly like he nearly did in the NFCCG before he imploded.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000 ... t-basementI have to say, it's a little disappointing to see this happen to our rivals. It's looking so bad that we may have to turn our wrath on to Bruce Arians and his irritating Kangol hat wearing arrogant self.

Arians isn't near the villain that Harbaugh was. As a matter of fact, I kinda like the guy. When they were riding high and the press was talking HFA just before coming into our house this season, he reminded everyone that they hadn't done jack yet. How prophetic did that statement turned out to be?

Maybe it is the rivalry thing, but I cannot stand the way he talks. Harbaugh was a giant whiner and a class A prick, but Arians is gaining steam on him. I heard the quote you are talking about, but I thought it was BS that he was the media darling coach of the year and he and Kime were rated as the best coach/GM pair. WHAT? back to your point about not doing anything yet.... hellllllo - Pete and John anybody? If they are so brilliant, why in the world would Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley be your best options to back up a 100 y/o QB??
Arians' stupid remarks in the 2nd 1/2 of the season soured me on him. Again, maybe that is because he was assuming the role that Jim Hairball was about to vacate. Fisher's teams always play the NFC West tough, but he has lacked the consistency and a healthy QB to do much else. So far I have nothing but respect for him.

I've got to agree with you sis. Arians started to rub me the wrong way the second half of the season and has become a perfect coach to hate in our division.

Don't hold your breath folks, I am with Herd on this one, I don't see it. NO way they give up Kapper with Gore gone, Willis retiring, while Seattle, Az, and St. Louis all getting better. They are in serious free fall.

I agree with you, although it would be nice. They have no other option at QB right now and there is nothing really exciting out there. If you have a young QB that can be and has been successful in the NFL you keep him.

Even if the rumor is false, there still are a Ton of questions regarding CK as a QB. I think it is possible for him to get better, but I'm not sure if it's going to happen on this team.
SF is in Way over their heads right now. Jed York's feud with Harbaugh turned out to be the domino that set in motion his team's almost certain demise.
Gore, Willis, Justin Smith...
That is a wealth of true team leaders that are walking out of HQ, and I doubt very much the 49ers are capable right now of filling that void.

Arians has a looooong way to go before he catches up with Jim "Beyond Reproach" Harbaugh. Until I see Arians nearly get into a fight just shaking hands like Hairball did, he's not going to be on my dart board. Besides, Arizona is about as passive as rivals get. Those folks are so laid back that they have to make special efforts to "Protect the Nest" in order to keep visiting fans from taking over their home field. It's pretty hard to get worked up at those bunch of woosies.
IMO the stupidest thing Arians said was in the week prior to our SNF game with them when he said it was the most important regular season game in franchise history. He was putting way too much pressure on his team, especially on his starting quarterback.

Best thing that Dumb & Dumber (York & Belke) can do in San Francisco is to blow up the rest of the team. This way they can head off the fan backlash for how lousy next season will be by claiming that the 49ers are "Rebuilding after the disaster 8-8 record that Harbaugh left us with".
Kapernick being on the trading block makes perfect sense. He was a Jim Harbaugh guy who publicly stated his support for Harbaugh up until the very end. The two teams mentioned - Chicago & Philadelphia makes perfect sense - I would imagine that either team would have had to give up their QB (Cutler & Foles) in exchange for Kapernick.
Philadelphia makes a lot of sense - It is no secret that Chip is pining for Marioata for his unique offense - however if he had to pick another QB to run his offense then who better (and is more like Mariota) than Colin Kapernick?
As far as 49er brass denying that Kapernick is not being offered for a trade- they said the same thing at first when they almost traded Harbaugh to the Browns - It turned out they lied there too - this isn't the only time by the way.
That owner of the 49ers is a immature little entitled punk - dig up that radio interview that he did after Harbaugh was fired and listen for yourself - god help the 49er fans because you are going to need some divine intervention with these bozo's in charge.
The heart and Soul of that team - Gore, Willis & Smith - all players we would have loved as Seahawks - just walked away from the team - you can be certain based on all this activity that the entire locker room is in disarray in San Fran.

We knew Smith was nearing the end of his career, but he was still very effective and Willis retiring is a huge surprise.
Perhaps they don't think as much of Tomsula as the owner and GM do as I would have thought if they really loved playing for him they would be revved up to get the season going.

Baalke just came out and said that Kaep isn't going anywhere, says rumors are completely unfounded.
Everything else is coming undone, though. Willis retiring, the Cowboy might retire, Gore, Crabtree, and Iupati likely gone...

And we all know GM's to be completely truthful this time of year.

...and their fullback is in the pokey on a Spousal Abuse charge. That will go over real well in the NEW NFL.

I don't know if their new OC needs a FB for his system.
A lot of teams don't so it might not make much difference to them.

I'm just repeating his reaction.
But in this case, I do think that he's telling the truth. I can't imagine him giving Kaep the contract he did then a year later, turn around and trade him off and put himself back in the market for a quarterback.
