Fairley to Rams... Ugh

I don't think the Rams can challenge for the division but if Fairley actually makes good on his potential even half the time that line is going to be a complete nightmare to block. I'm going to be scared to death for Russell's health whenever the Hawks play them.

Wow, what a DL they will have.
This should make their CBs much better, too just like the formula we used.

Looks like another dogfight just to get out of the Division.

This makes me want to barf. I was looking at their FA's after this year and luckily Michael Brockers is one of them along with quite a few other highly drafted players. They just have so much darn talent in that front 7 it's sickening. Fairly, however, seems to have turned a lot of teams off with his laziness. Hopefully, he goes back to being overweight and unmotivated, but with a one year "prove it" style deal he's going to try for another contract....and then get overly fat once more.

Pretty sad when Detroit even passes on him.

I think they can challenge for the division. I don't think they will get there, but IMO they will be our stiffest challenge within our division. Fairley is going to make a very good defense that much better. They were already a nightmare to block, and unless we get a bona fide replacement for Unger and Carpenter, that matchup isn't going to get any better. And although I realize you don't have a lot of respect for Foles, they have addressed their QB situation and should at least field a consistent starter each week instead of those random journeymen they've trotted out there.

Plus they are still sitting on the #10 overall in the upcoming draft.

Word - Because the Rams have built their greatest strength at the exact opposite position of our greatest weakness.

I'm definitely concerned. Since Fisher got there they have made me uneasy and now they might have the horses.
If the Rams clean up a few things with some of the bad losses and Foles is merely decent they will definitely be the team to deal with for Seattle. Fisher jukes Carrol and Co all the time with trick plays for one thing. Beyond that they have given the Hawks all they want almost every outing the last few years. They were a yard from splitting the series in 2013 and did last year including shutting out Seattle in the first half at the Clink in a must have season ender.
Its on!

Old but Slow wrote:It keeps the division interesting and challenging. With the Niners turning into the wreck of the Hindenberg, at least the Rams and Cards are keeping up the pace. I like the idea of this being the best division in football. We can deal with it. However, I have no problem with watching the Niners have a year or so of humility. That is one thing that they have had very little of.

They should have a lot of humility. Since realignment in 2002, they have won the division just 3 times while our Seahawks have won it 7 times. But mention that to a Niners fan and all they'll tell you is that they have 5 rings even though it's been 20 years since their last one. They're a lot like Cowboys fans when it comes to what have you done for me recently? topics.
