Nobody talks about this guy. Without his hustle to be at the right place, right time...our season may have ended!

Yup he was hustlin', following the play to be there if the ball got knocked loose, just the way Pete preaches it and they practice it every day! Love that the whole team has truly bought in to Pete's philosoph

Trent Dilfer made a point of talking up Malcolm Smith. It was an extremely heads-up play by him, and it very could have meant we didn't win the game if he wasn't there. Sherman deserves mad props for the play he made, but Malcolm sealed the win. Perhaps a negative of Sherman is that all the attention on him overshadows Malcolm's play.

Can't say enough good things about Malcolm. I did not know how he was going to pan out actually. But his int was critical.
The focus that Sherman had on getting that ball, and the discipline of Malcolm being there at the right time was HUGE.
In fact he did not even know what to do after the INT. I think Thomas told him to just go down! Game was over at that point anyway.

Its the 3rd pick for Smith since he moved into the lineup due to injuries. One he almost got to the house vs Zona which might have been a game winner, then a huge one for a pick 6 vs the Rams, and now the biggest play of his career thus far. These tip drill picks are no accident, we've seen it time and time again the past couple of years. It was an incredible play by both men. Hoping to see some more of them in New York.

Malcolm is playing what used to be K.J. Wright's spot, when K.J. came back they put him in Bruce Irvin's spot because they didn't want to mess with Smith because he was playing so well. Irvin did get in because K.J. hadn't played in a while.
