This is so, so awesome! I mean really.
700K attending in freezing temps? We put the nation in awe again.
This is our time.

Watching it on the NFL network. Seems like a great recruiting tool to keep these guys together. Who would want to leave this!

Never seen anything like this, what a joyous spectacle. Moving, its all hitting home now.
Players riding by position in the back of Seahawk bannered national guard "ducks". Lynch boppin', throwing skittles on the hood of the one carrying the seagals. The Lombardi hoisted, parade moving about 2 mph toward centurylink, safeco filling up as an overflow. EVERYONE... Moon & Raible are on cloud 9. Well planned & Orchestrated. The size of this is staggering.
Words don't do this justice. Epic.
How sweet it is.

It's real. It's really real.
Seeing Beast tossing Skittles to the crowd and looking like a great big kid. Reporter runs up to the Duck carrying Tate and the receivers and shouting to him "You did it!" and Tate pointing to the crowd and responding "WE did it!" A cop on crowd detail gently moving the fans back away from the vehicles in the parade route and then hugging one of the parade goers.
That's some magic sh*t right there. I love it.

I might have gone but yielded to a much younger team member that had to work on SB Sunday while I took the day off. It's probably for the best anyway as my liver might not have tolerated the parade.

Just got back from it....safe and sound. Insanity can't even begin to describe the scene. I'll post more tomorrow, but to sum it up....Imagine being at a home game (crowd, excitement, traffic, police, etc.) and multiply it by ten. I have never seen so many people in my life, let alone Seahawk fans. Seattle was on fire!
Time for bed, I'm beat.
Go Hawks!!!

Glad you got to go, Yoder, you deserve this as much as anybody else.
I watched on NFLN, and it was still unreal, even on the tube.
All those 12's.
What a sight, what a day.

Our whole family took the Link Light Rail downtown and it took us right to Westlake. We hadn't scored any of the free stadium tickets so we opted for the parade. We got started early but 3 full trains passed before there was one we could all get on. Many people started crossing the tracks so that could catch an empty train south to Sea-Tac so that they wouldn't miss another train. was just about to do that when we managed to find enough room on the 4th. one to stop at the station.
My grand kids had a blast and there were thousands upon thousands of fans that brought their youngsters to witness something they will remember forever. I was born and raised here in Seattle so I have been to numerous Torch Light Parades and they are always very well attended (the last weekend of July) but there were many more of us "Twelves" than I remember ever seeing at our Torch Light Parades.
WHAT A SPECTACLE!!! It paid off to get there early(some had been putting yellow tape around chairs Tuesday after noon) anyway we got a standing room only spot right in front two blocks north of Westlake Square, we were right in front off the curb with our toes on the fog line. The Police had to keep people from over stepping that boundary and pushing in to the street.
What a very well behaved crowd! We did our city proud yesterday. The Police doing crowd control led cheering, an officer would point to the east side of 4th. Ave. and the crowd on that side would yell SEA! Then the officer would point to our side and we would yell HAWKS. Anyway, it was great, all that many people and nobody getting out of line. We had a GREAT TIME!!!

A co worker went to it and told me that the Seattle FD estimated the crowd at closer to 1 million. He also said that all the Starbucks between the Space Needle and the stadium ran out of coffee.

Awesome. Thanks for the insights. I watched what I had on NFL Network, but didn't opt to tape the 30 minute extension so I missed the players reaching the Clink

My daughter and I made the Seattle Times paper!!! On page A-11 in the huge picture of the crowd, the one where the shade and the sun light look like stripes. They titled the picture as a crowd of fans walking toward Century link Field but it is miss titled, I wasn't any where near the stadium, we were at 4th. & Lenora. The coolest thing is that they caught both my daughter and I. This is something that we will frame and keep forever. I am so glad that I couldn't resist going down town to the parade and I am glad I called my daughter and asked if she wanted to come with me!

Congratulations Seahawks4ever - nice that you were able to share such an event with your entire family. You're right - this event will always be remembered by your daughter and grand kids.
Hawks are lucky to have fans like you! When I hear 700,000 people are gathering in one place I tend to head the opposite direction. LOL

LOL!
Me, too! There's nothing I hate more than unbearable traffic or standing in huge lines.
