Back up move, IMO, with virtually no shot at becoming a franchise QB, even if Kaepernick proves not to be so. But for a 6th rounder, what the heck. Amazing - or maybe not so much given draft history - that this guy was the 10th over all selection just 3 yrs ago.

EDIT: 49ers also add safety Antoine Bethea from Colts. Pretty decent move by them, even if he is turning 30 this yr.
