PFF Player Rankings Week 5

Once again, here's the PFF rankings for our guys listed by position as of Week 5. The number of players who met the minimum snap count and our guy's previous week's rankings are in parathesis:
QB (36) Geno Smith #9 (#5) Top Ranked: Derrick Carr, Saints.
WR (123) Tyler Lockett #28 (#36), DK Metcalf #40 (#28), JSN #52 (#50), Jake Bobo #66 (#69). Top Ranked: Nico Collins, Texans.
RB (62) Kenneth Walker #2 (#1), Zach Charbonnet #27 (#34). Top Ranked: Derrick Henry, Ravens.
TE (72) AJ Barner #11 (#20), Noah Fant #41 (#36). Top Ranked: Brock Bowers, Raiders.
Center (35) Conner Williams #22 (#20). Top Ranked: Erik McCoy, Saints.
Guards (70) Laken Tomlinson, #37 (#36), Anthony Bradford #69 (#70). Top Ranked: James Daniels, Steelers.
Tackles (78) Charles Cross, #7 (#8), Stone Forsythe #74 (#73). Top Ranked: Terron Armstead, Fins.
CB (101) Tariq Wollen, #10 (#10), Devon Witherspoon #22 (#17), Tre Brown #84 (#52). Top Ranked: DJ Reed, Jets.
Safety (79) Julian Love, #3 (#2), Rayshawn Jenkins #22 (#14). Top Ranked: Xavier McKinney, Packers.
LB (79) Tyrell Dodson #20 (#36), Jerome Baker #20 (#28), Tyrice Knight #50 (#46). Top Ranked: Fred Warner, Niners.
DT (124) Leonard Williams #11 (#7), Jarran Reed #12 (#17), Byron Murphy #68 (#73), Johnathan Hankins #85 (NR). Top Ranked: Cameron Heywood, Steelers.
Edge (113) Derrick Hall, #19 (#18), Boye Mafe, #21 (#20), Dre Mont Jones #81 (#80). Top Ranked: Adian Hutchinson, Lions.
Just a couple of observations: Several of our guys dropped from the previous week, most of whom meet the eye test. Among those who registered a significant drop were Geno from #5 to #9, Metcalf from #28 to #40, Tre Brown from #52 to #84, which follows a drop in Week 3 from #37. And one oddity is that Rayshawn Jenkins, despite returning a fumble 102 yards for a touchdown, which has to be a record or near record, dropped from #14 to #22.
Of those who increased their ranking was Zach Charbonnet from #34 to #27, Jarron Reed from #17 to #12, and Tyler Lockett from #36 to #28. Everyone else were more or less unchanged.
And something in the safety rankings that I noticed of which I thought worth sharing. Our old friend, Quandre Diggs, is ranked 17th. Last season when he played for us, he was one of the lowest ranked safeties for most of the season.
Once again, if any of you have a specific question about a player's ranking or other info on the PFF website, please say so and I'd be happy to research it. I gotta get my money's worth out of this subscription.
