PFF Rankings Week 6

Postby River Dog » Tue Oct 15, 2024 2:20 pm

Here's our guy's PFF rankings as of Week 6. The number next to the position is the number of players in the league who met the minimum snap count to justify a ranking, the number in parathesis is our player's ranking from the previous week.

QB-36 Geno Smith #9 (#9). Top Ranked: Brock Purdy, Niners.

WR-126 Tyler Lockett #29 (#28), DK Metcalf #42 (#40), JSN #75 (#52), Jake Bobo NR (#66) Top Ranked: Nico Collins, Hou

RB-68 Kenneth Walker #5 (#2), Zach Charbonnet #34 (#27). Top Ranked: Derrick Henry, Bal

TE-72 AJ Barner, #17 (#11), Noah Fant #30 (#41). Top Ranked: Brock Bowers, NO

Changes From Previous Week

Geno Smith, NC, Tyler Lockett -1, DK Metcalf -2, JSN -23, Kenneth Walker -3, Zach Charbonnet -7. AJ Barner -6, Noah Fant +11, Conner Williams NC, Laken Tomlinson +5, Anthony Bradford -2, Charles Cross +1, Stone Forsythe +1, Tariq Woolen -1, Devon Witherspoon +4, Tre Brown -40, Julian Love -7, Rayshawn Jenkins -34, Jerome Baker -2, Tyrel Dodson +2, Jarron Reed +2, Leonard Williams NC, Jonathan Hankins -12, Derrick Hall -9, Boye Mafe -13, Dre Mont Jones -25.

To be fair, a drop in the ranking may not be completely reflective of a player’s relative performance. Other players in the league who did not receive a ranking in the previous week due to not meeting the minimum snap count may have achieved that threshold this week or the opposite, that those who were ranked last week fell below the minimum snap count this week and dropped out of the ranking.

But the big movers, 10+ slots, has to be at least partially due to individual performances, or at least a performance perceived by PFF evaluators. Those players would include JSN (-23), Noah Fant (+11), Tre Brown (-33), Jonathan Hankins (-13), Rayshawn Jenkins (-33), Boye Mafe (-13), and Dre Mont Jones (-24). As you can see, we had many more players who dropped in ranking than we did those who gained, which probably makes sense as we didn't have a real good effort vs. the Niners.

Once again, if any of you have a question about another player's ranking, please don't hesitate to ask and I'd be more than willing to research it. I need to get my money's worth out of this subscription. :D
