Good article, thanks for sharing it. Bob Condotta is one of my favorite beat writers.

A lot of it is a "cross that bridge when we come to it" propositions as we still have 5 games plus the playoffs left in this season and a lot of things could happen, ie injuries, retirements, etc.

It all goes back to questionable Cap moves the last number of years.
They can make up some Cap room by cutting Locket or renegotiate his contract down, sign DK to a long term deal (keeping in mind the low Cap hit would only be for one or two years) and maybe move on from Geno but after coming off of his Comeback POTY and Pro Bowl selection he didn’t get much interest. Any way you look at it they have some work to do.

Didn't they change cap guy in the front office this year? If so, then maybe we will see an end to the boondoggles with cap space that we have suffered.

Now that you mention it I think they might have changed the Cap expert. I hope that person does better than the last one, but JS does have a lot of say in how the Cap is handled.
