Ichiro to the BB HOF (almost)

Unanimous early vote to be placed on final ballot. Looks like he's joining Griffey, Edgar and others to the HOF.

Not to be a dick, but you think you spell his name right when honoring him

A good friend of mine, a native Japanese who was an exchange student when we were in high school over 50 years ago and has remained a close friend of mine, met Ichiro and wasn't too impressed with him, said he wouldn't sign autographs, told people to GTF away from him. Of course, Ichiro could have just been having a bad day.

Having said that, Ichiro absolutely belongs in the HOF, not only for his time in MLB, but also for the 9 seasons he spent playing professional baseball in Japan as he was a 7-time all-star in that league. He was one of if not the best defensive right fielder I've ever seen, ranking up there with Roberto Clemente, Al Kaline, and others.
