Sherman's new contract will be announced this Monday or Tuesday.

The Hawks don't want to wait, and neither does The Sherman Corporation.

And the master controllers at NFL headquarters have undoubtedly informed all teams that starting Wednesday there will be new news is a no no, except that relating to the draft, until the following Tuesday ... so they can get maximum media for their little bingo game.

While I'm confused by logic, this one just makes too much sense.

Now I can feel good about purchasing his jersey for my soon-to-be 6 year old (recently burned by Tate).

Sherman is a transcendent player and we will be so fortunate to lock him and Earl down. Let's do this!

Clayton has been talking about he thinks it will get done before the draft but who knows. The important thing is they have been making steady progress from what actually has been reported.

Also... remember that whole debate about how bad Sherman's antics in the NFC championship game made him look. Now getting a shout out from the President at the White House Correspondents dinner. Seems to be working out for him okay.

But I do understand the timing of those who think they control such things.
