Don't much care for Change.org but I signed and tweeted it on!

As much as I like Sherman, this is just politics on his part. I think it would be awesome if the whole LOB got there but this boils down to paying for the likeness of all four players.

EA isn't going to do that. Now maybe if they waived the fee and signed off on using their likeness for free or Sherman offered to split his fee four ways he could probably get this done.

Not entirely sure he didn't offer to do just that, are you?

Not 100% but pretty much that's the only hang up from EA's side so if he did I reckon it'd be a done deal.

In the locker room after the Super Bowl Sherman said and I quote " The LOB is the whole defense". Sounds like he is backing off of that LOL. Yeah, I am in agreement that if Sherm. is willing to split his Madden money 4 ways it seems to me there is no reasonable reason why EA wouldn't do it.

Now, if I was in charge of EA a few years ago I would have not had contest, I would have signed up Marshawn Lynch a few years ago after the 'Beast Quake". Can you imagine pushing a button on your controller sending ML into Beast Mode and having the controller and picture do a "Beast Quake" as the ML character knocks down and/or drags all of the defenders for either big yards or 1st. downs or TD's??? Oh well, maybe next year but if you ask me(and nobody did) I think EA Sports missed the boat on that one a few years ago.

I disagree, the LOB seems like they have a true brotherhood/chemistry that obviously works. He's saluting his fellow comrades. The guy is set for life, I can't see any other reason than sharing the glory with his teammates. He gets all of the media attention he needs, why not share the spotlight?

Not really disagreement, but the single player design of Madden covers (well, I guess there was a year recently with two players) looks like intentional branding to my eye.

As such, I'm not so convinced it'd be a slam dunk to get the entire unit put on there simply by Sherm offering to split his fee. It might be more 'just', but I get the impression EA likes the iconic aesthetic, ya know?

You didn't ask me but I say pretty cool. Would have worked in spades.

I also say that the Sherman initiative is 100 percent sincere. No PR stunt in my opinion. These cats were close and Sherman knows this.

SHUTDOWN. It's official. LOB and Seahawks are going to be on the cover of Madden15. 

 

Thanks for all your support, this one is for all you, 12s. I feel blessed each and every day. You know I'm going to intercept the Madden curse this year. But there's still a lot of hard work and preparation for next season so no time to rest now.

My bad, I didn't see this thread when I started my new one. I must be blind...

No worries man.

Thing about the welcome screen is if you're a hater you can't throw it away or cover it. Game covers are nice but that start screen will be there as long as that game exists.
