Now THIS is a surprise.
I guess the depth at DB isn't as good as we thought.
I wonder who will be gone to make room.

A bit of a head scratcher, but fans in Indy like his upside. I guess we do to. Can't second guess this crew about secondary talent!

They thought enough of him to give up a 6th round pick so he must have caught their eye in a fairly big way.

Edit:
It's really interesting because he has bounced around the league a little in his first year with Jacksonville, Eagles, Rams, and Colts.
He doesn't really fit the type being 5'10 190lbs.

At first, I was really surprised by this trade, but the more I read, the more I like it. Lane's a little nicked up, Simon's foot seems to be giving him some problems again, and Adams and Auguste looked really bad against the Raiders. I think with Peyton, Rodgers and Rivers coming up in the first three weeks, the FO decided we needed some help RIGHT NOW.

Some notable information:

- We have control of Burley for the next 3 or 4 years
- Salary: 420k 2014, 510k 2015, ERFA 2016 (around 600k), RFA 2017
- Pro Day ran a 4.35 40, 6.65 3 cone, 1.48 10 yard. This guy can move
- From watching his youtube videos, this guy loves to tackle, and is always trying to knock the ball loose
- PFF has him graded as the 3rd corner in preseason with 103 snaps played
- Was playing gunner on Colts kickoff team
- Pretty much every poster on the Colts forums seemed to think he was pretty good
- Let's be honest, our 6th round pick is really like a 7th round pick :)

Maybe they see him as someone to match up against some of the smaller and quicker WRs we will face.

Maybe they aren't confident that lanes hammy will be ready to go. From what I read about the guy, he specifically fills Lanes roles almost across the board. After watching Adams play some of the worst DB I've seen in a while, I think the idea of having him attempt to stay with the slot receivers the first couple weeks would have made me vomit.

Does he play the slot well? He seems like he may be built more like a slot corner in our system, especially wight that speed. If he is as quick as he is fast it could be a good fit.
