I really enjoyed the part about the 2012 Divisional loss. It was a great way to start the show because that is where it started. Pretty cool how both Pete and RW3 were already thinking about 2013 as they were on the bus right after the Atlanta loss. Both thinking Super Bowl for 2013. That speaks volumes to how both are wired, especially RW3.
One thing that also stood out to me was how it was the Defense that let the team down in the end that day against Atlanta, not being able to hold that lead in the last minute. Last year was the D making their statement to answer the questions of that game. They answered with one of the best seasons ever by a defense, and exclamation marked it by shutting down the greatest offense of all time during the regular season.
Oh, and they made that one little play in the NFC Championship that is now probably the best play in Seahawks history, the one that ended up winning them the Super Bowl.
Being a long time fan and suffering through all the lean years like a lot of us have done, the way they did it last year, was so worth the wait. It was no fluke, they deserved it, truly were the best "team" in the game, finally had a Defense that was dominating, had a franchise QB, a smashmouth RB, a bunch of low draft picks and UDFA's that had chips on their shoulder. They were a brash, cocky, confident, outspoken bunch not afraid to let people know who they were. They were good/dominant in all 3 phases of the game. And the "good" part could be "great" this year (the offense).
Simply made all of us proud to be 'Hawks fans.
But now, time for me to put 2013 in the "Rearviewmirror" (one of my fav PJ songs).....just like this team has mentioned throughout all of preseason, only looking forward. Hoping to make 2014 even more special.
