Seattle Phil Bates, giving them a total of 8, yes that is EIGHT wide receivers right now.
It's hard to know exactly what is going on there, most thought that Walters would get the axe ahead of Bates, and now it turns out Bates is back and they have 8 wide outs...very odd, but I think the Seahawks may be (at least partly, engaging in some gamesmanship trying to keep these guys off other teams rosters.
Sadly, the Seahawks placed Lemuel Jeanpierre on injured reserve, (apparently due to a neck injury). It seems that this injury may have caught the Seahawks by surprise after considering the linemen they just let go of.
However, Seattle also just signed two more offensive linemen, David Arkin and Drew Nowak.
They released three players from the practice squad, WR Chris Matthews, OL Nate Isles and DB Terrance Parks; and signed Arkin and Nowak, and they also signed LB Allen Bradford who we should all remember from last year, from making the initial 53-man roster before getting cut.
The Bradford signing is interesting, (I thought he had a reasonable chance to stick last year), and the two guards are no brainers, especially with Lem getting hurt.
